This book was a birthday present. It was a very nice edition apparently.

The Greek language stands alone in civilisation and history and no other language in the world has conveyed and codified knowledge the way Greek has. These two volumes of work offer an etymologically accurate and fascinating insight into the ‘language of the world.’ They should be inserted in those space pods to be sent to the remotest planets to show other worlds what civilisation and language illuminated the function of written language and speech on Earth. The books are beautifully presented and laid out.

I bought this by mistake, and is really far too comprehensive for my needs. But glad I did……its easy to lose yourself browsing through it. And by golly, its true that the Greeks had a word for it !

The delivery was timely. It is a very good edition of the dictionary.

As a classicist this is an essential part of my life. We’ve been waiting for this a long time.
