Would you say pumping with this vs. an electric pump is more comfortable?

The manual pump is a lot faster than a electric pump. I can complete my pumping on one side in 10 mins or less compared to the electric pump at 20-30 mins. Also, i think the manual pump is alot less painful than the electric pump.

Can the yellow valve be removed for cleaning?

Yes, it can be pulled off from the connector and separated from the white membrane. We recommend doing that after each use so that you can more easily clean inside the valve and also clean the white membrane. Have a great day!
