For many years I've purchased garden hose quick disconnects and they've all failed for various reasons. The plastic ones worked fine initially, but weren't durable and soon broke or prematurely wore out. Some weren't even UV resistant! The original metal ones were very crude and usually leaked from the beginning. These stainless steel couplings are precision machined and do not leak under any conditions I've tested them under. I have found that cold temperatures often cause leaking, but these haven't leaked a drop even in temperatures just above freezing. One important thing to note is that you must use the special washers included with these couplings or they will leak. The washers should last a long time, but replacements are inexpensive and readily available. I highly recommend these Essential Washer hose disconnects to anyone looking for a high quality product that doesn't leak.

These are quality quick connections for garden hoses and any of your accessories that go with your hoses. They are very well made with (6) bearing instead of only (3). They do not leak and are easy to use. Great connections.

I bought 3 packs of these to replace all threaded garden hose connections for my water filter, water splitter, pressure regulator, and water softener for the RV. These seems to be well made, have more than 4 ball bearings, and look decent. However when installing them on some of the male threaded ends on the various ends of hoses and filters, it seems that you can easily over-tighten them and displace the gasket which results in a leaky setup. I installed the male quick disconnect end into the female end and then threaded it on the male ends of the garden hose fittings which seems to work a little better. I really like them once they are installed and so far they've worked great. Will update with durability info as time goes on. Once you get them on they should work as desired.

I have a spike solo system and it uses a compatible size quick disconnect fitting allowing me to hook up water hoses for cleaning, filtering water, hooking up my plate chiller and more. The fittings can leak if not fully seated or somehow get seated at an off angle. This is easily corrected just unhook and reconnect firmly. Overall no pitting, no rusting, they do appear to be stainless as advertised.

Appears to be well make, but finicky when attaching hose. If you over tighten then connect quick connect, it leaks.
