I have the mixed . I soaked it 12 hours and it did not expand. I’m not sure if this is real

I have never experienced a time that dried sea moss would not expand in water. I soak my sea moss for about four hours and it sometimes more than triples in size.

How much gel does it make?

Greetings, Thank you very much for the question. Please note that our seamoss is very dry; thus, it can increase to 2-4x its size upon rehydration. The amount of sea moss gel produced depends on your desired gel consistency and concentration. After cleaning and soaking 1 ounce (1oz) of dried seamoss, adding 1-2 cups of water to the rehydrated seamoss can yield about 16 oz(more concentrated & thicker) to 32oz (less concentrated & looser) sea moss gel. Begin with approximately 1 cup of water, adding a little more water at a time to reach your desired consistency. ***Measurement Conversion*** After cleaning and soaking 30 grams (30g) of dried seamoss, adding approximately 250ml-500ml of water to the rehydrated seamoss can yield about 450 ml (more concentrated & thicker) to 950ml (less concentrated & looser) sea moss gel. Begin with approximately 250ml of water, adding a little more water at a time to reach your desired consistency.
