Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose Paperback – September 1, 2006

I can't even begin to say how helpful this book is. There is so much power, and information from beginning to end. There are also questions at the end of each chapter to help you glean the most important points. There are scripture verses and affirmations to speak after as well. This book is a treasure trove for those who want Gods blessing over every area of their lives. It contains essential truths to help an individual, but what was even more valuable was knowing these truths are available to help my kids overcome curses in their own lives. If you've not read Derek prince's books before, this is a good place to start. You quickly realize that he knows SOO much. This includes hebrew and Greek for the purpose of being able to study the Scriptures. However, this book isn't difficult to read. His goal in teaching isn't to be lofty in any way; rather, his desire is to write simply in order that anyone could pick up his books and understand the point easily. He's humble and gentle- it's very obvious that he loves people. Get this book- it's been a game-changer for our family. maybe it will be for yours, too!

Fantastic read and resource. Love the study guide at the end of each chapter. This is a great resource for individual or group study. It's for anyone and everyone with breath in their lungs and the ability to discern and understand obvious and simply stated spiritual influence in and throughout our natural existance. It's easy to go through life disconnected to the spiritual realm. It's not natural. But once we consider this part of our reality and understand it's influence, we can then begin to identify and address what matters, what is relavent. This resource is a well researched and validated reference for knowledge, understanding and application for real and lasting results for ones current and future situations and circumstances.I have experienced dramatic life changing results as a result of this book. And it was instant! It's been several weeks now and the results have continued far beyond what I was able to understand and address at the time of reading, journaling, applying the principles, praying and thanking God.

I come from a country where curses are very real, and no one jokes about the supernatural. People know its power either from personal experience or from the experience of someone they know. When I came to US, I was surprised at how ignorant people are about the supernatural. People outside the church think it is a joke and in Christian circles kids watch and read books and movies that open them up to the realm of the occult, without realizing how awful this is in the eyes of God. Their parents agree that God is all powerful, but then either ignore Satan and his power as to discredit him, or give Satan too much credit. As I went through certain struggles myself, God started pointing me back to this book (which I had from years before), and as I opened it up, there was the problem of my family described. I read the book again, and being more knowledgeable with the bible at this point in my Christian walk, I found the teaching very biblical and something we need to be aware of. God is a jealous God and he takes our "prostituting" with the other "gods" very serious. He gave us warnings and a deliverer. So yes, we can choose. We don't need to be afraid of the dark side anymore. Jesus has become a curse for us, but we need to apply his blood to our lives to be freed. This book will lead you to examine your life, and with the help of the Holy Spirit to discern if there are things in your life that are a barrier to God's blessings for you (they might not be your fault at all, they might be coming from previous generations, that is why you need the Holy Spirit). Use it in conjunction with prayer and fasting, and listen to the Holy Spirit. You might be surprised.

Great book

People today do not recognize or accept that blessings and curses are a part of every day life. I know many who curse others with their words and have no idea what they have done. More importantly, knowing how blessings flow is a vital part of having a great life. I plan to review this book often for future reference. I highly recommend it.

This is a must read for any person especially Christians. Everything you have in life is either one of two things, a blessing or a curse. Derek Prince easily describes which is what and how it became a reality. Both blessing and curses can come from an individual him/herself, or their ancestors or a nation etc. And on top of that we all have multiple blessings and curses so in order to receive the blessings one needs to revoke the curses and this book helps recognize blessings and curses.After this read I recommend getting Prayers That Rout Demons and Break Curses by John Eckhardt for a great list of Gods Word in Bible versus to announce you blessings and revoke your curses as Derek Prince states.
