I got this to hold butter at room temperature. I had a butter bell before this, however it does not work as good as this. The butter bell only held butter soft for about 4 to 5 days, before it started to get moldy, however not this. It's much larger than a butter bell, and uses no water. I put up to 3 sticks of butter in and they keep for several weeks, safe and tasty. I recommend it so much I bought another one.

this butter dish is amazing I have arthritis and even I can lift the lid without a problem. I am very pleased with the craftsmanship and the cute knife that came with it, my husband even likes it.

Love it! Fits 2 sticks of butter side by side easily, could even stack and fit 4 if you wanted. Easy to use- Closes well and seals well. Lid is easy to remove also. Cute design. The butter knife is a plus to have. Easy to clean. I would recommend. Just as pictured and just what I was looking for.
