Can’t access the audio files
Update: I successfully downloaded the audio files and bonus book as advertised, just now. Happy to report that it worked without any glitches. The author followed through in what he offered. Much appreciated as the other major piece of his method.Whether from the paper book’s link, the Kindle edition, or the website, the links are all nonfunctioning for downloading the audio tracks. Another buyer complained on his site, and was told that the author was changing his email provider and gave a different link. That also failed. The author should post here and on his own site an explanation in advance so all can know the status of what is advertised. I will revise my rating when this is fixed. Also, I have no problem at all that the exercises are written in tab format. But be aware that the are only in that form, not in the more common dual tab and standard notation form.UPDATE The author kindly offered to privately send the files for the book, if I give him my email address, and I raised my review a star for his effort. While not at all suspicious of the author, this is an insecure means for distributing a mass offering, especially for a new enterprise having internet provider challenges. So I will wait until the issues with distribution are sorted and download normally at that time. The exercises seem promising. It would be helpful to hear how they are supposed to sound prior to picking them out first time, so the audio examples are helpful, useful idea and important part of the book at least personally. Will revise the rating again when the issues are fixed.

Pefect guitar exercise book.
This is now my go-to book of exercises for my regular practice. Well laid out and easy to understand, and I especially love the way it's broken down into different categories, so you can focus on a particular area of playing one day, then another the next, much like a weightlifter will focus on different areas of the body every day. This is a must have for anyone serious about a regular practice regime.

No worth it
I was looking for a book containing guitar exercises, instead I get a 3 chapter pep-talk on not giving up playing guitar followed by this ridiculous exercise with no real explanation on how to play it.

For intermediate players
I like the book but it's not for beginners at all, unless you can spend a lot of time practising, much more than the impression I first got from the promotion . It's a good book and I believe the author is coming out with one that's more for beginners. FYI, I'm a self taught rhythm guitarist looking to pick up some electric skills.. So the fault probably lies with me.

Great Books to Learn By!
I have purchased every Guitar Head books. I have found that they flow nicely, the information is written to guide the reader toward practicing the skills discussed in an orderly and easy manner! The Guitar Tabs and Fret Board books are absolutely outstanding. If you want to learn TABS this is the book to grab. You will understand the concept with every page, and you will find the way it's taught, it's easy to remember. The only criticism that I have for these books are occasional misspelled words. These books will not disappoint you, and if you don't understand something you get Guitar Head's email address and a social network to look for help!

Looking forward to these exercises
I've learned a lot from a couple other books by the author on scales and the fretboard. I like his approach. I have picked up and put down my guitar many times over the years, because I never really knew what I was doing. And learning to play songs on YouTube only takes you so far. This series of books has renewed my interest, even if I'm only playing for my own entertainment.

Making progress
I loved the book! The language is simple, the content is clear and to the point. The author uses humor as a tool for instruction, and I appreciate that. In just a few days of following the exercise, I have noticed my fingers are reaching higher, they are less stiff, and I can practice a little longer. Now, I just have to teach my fingers not to fly😜! Thank you!

Far better alternatives...
I thought this was going to be a good reference. I have been bitterly disappointed. The biggest issue has been the nonsensical process that continues to disappoint me regarding the supplemental materials supposedly included, such as audio file examples. If these aren't important to you, you might find the book useful; but, the publisher's lame delivery system and poor support has so far failed to deliver the audio tracks, yet, I have begun receiving their promotional emails that I never wanted. Save yourself some grief and buy Guitar Aerobics by Troy Nelson, published by Hal Leonard instead. I have both, and the Aerobics book wins hands down.

Good book overall, with some serious caveats.
Generally a good book overall, with some serious caveats. There are plenty of interesting exercises in this books, and they have helped me for sure. The exercises are in TAB form and for most cases are easy enough to follow. However some of the more complex exercises have vague instructions.I know what a "Hammer on" or a "Pull off" is, however some of the other terminology is vague at best. What the heck is "Legato", I had to go google it, and even that hasn't really explained it clearly. The claim of "10 mins a day" is something of a stretch of the truth, more like 30 mins is really closer to the truth.Better instructions and maybe some diagrams too, would make this a must buy, but as it stands it needs work.

Newbie on the Scene
So brand spanking new to this guitar playing lark. I have a few books and been on YouTube. I am determined to learn. So I thought let's get an exercises book this may help. While I am sure it will I ordered this book. It seems written with a newbie in mind as well as accomplished players.I like how the author has written an explanation before you dive on into the exercises. I read the reviews and that also helped me to chose this book.I found the book well laid out, it's not to thick in unneeded content. Just open it up pick an exercise and away you go.After I received the book I decided I needed the Guitar Tabs book also. That book explains a lot more than any other book I've looked at or video. There is no jargon just a good explanation of what slides etc mean.I am a long way off becoming a guitar player and I'm really hoping by exercising this may become reality one day.

Great practice tool
As a beginner, I was looking for exercises that helped me focus and improve my skills, but that weren't too dull; mere repetitions of scales bore me. This is just what I was looking for: a collection of tabs that I can use with a purpose. I intend to slowly incorporate them in my practice, and the amount of material is going to give me a lot to work on. And the price is a steal! I love that I can check the mp3 files to compare with what I'm doing.I do think the book would benefit from a spiral spine so that it'd rest flat on a stand or on the table. And yes, if you're a total beginner you may find yourself a little lost, because as the author says these are not just dirt easy licks to practice, but stuff that will force you to stretch your skills. And there is no theory here. Of course not. It's an exercise book. If for other subjects you get your learning/theory book and a separate book for exercises that won't include theory, why not this one? It makes sense to me. If it included theory, explanations on techniques, etc etc, it'd be a fantastic resource, but it wouldn't be just an exercise book, would it? And I've yet to see a single score with explanations. Well, they are there, every symbol is an explanation, you just have to know what they mean in advance. Same here. Thanks for a great exercise book, Guitar Head.

A great way to organise practise
I bought this book on the off chance. I have had it for 11 days and have worked through all of the exercises in the book. As the book says there are easy ones and difficult ones. This book is a great resource and reference point. It is useful to build a practice regime that targets the bits that you want to target. Easy to use and easy to read.

What you need
Although a little hard to get started, this is a very useful book to get you going. I'd been a performer for more years than I care to remember, basically that guy who can pick up a guitar and strum a tune, but this has taught me a lot about actually playing. It all comes down to whether you can be bothered to learn how to play, improve your technique, or are happy strumming those same three chords.
