Finally... an ice ball mold that works...
Eversince I saw the first Star Trek reboot movie in 2009, I've been on the hunt for a decent ice ball mold. I came across the original Japanese ones. Back then they were over $1000. These days they are a few hundred bucks, but I'm not willing to pay that. I've gone through several trays, silicone molds, etc that worked half the time. I gave up after a while and just drank my single malt neat. Although I prefer it that way, sometimes a little chill adds to the flavor.A few weeks ago I bought 2 bottles of Japanese Single Malt Whiskeys. I wanted to ice them so I decided to give these molds a try. My first attempt I got perfect spheres. There is no guessing game to how much water to put... just fill to the line, close and freeze. With those other ones, too much water and you get an egg and too little you get a dented moon.

Junk!
I did a lot of research on "AMAZON" and the internet and I thought these would be the best! The Amazon reviews were GREAT! HOWEVER, they did NOT perform as advertised! I followed the instructions to the Tee! I have no idea why the customer reviews are so positive on these ice cube/ball makers? I used distilled water and followed the instructions verbatim. They are simply a waste of money! AVOID THEM! Maybe it's time for Amazon to start taking a closer look at "Customer Reviews" and their policies as they pertain to them? Maybe it's time for the "Caveat Emptor" (BUYER BEWARE). Come on, this is a NO-BRAINER! BOTTOM LINE, these ice cube makers DO NOT function as advertised!

Found these easy to make with simple instructions to fill the bottom ...
Found these easy to make with simple instructions to fill the bottom container to the fill line, place top half on bottom half and freeze. Ice balls come out smooth and spherical. All you need is to run it under some warm water for a few seconds to release the frozen ice from the container then it pops right out. Easy enough to put the ice ball back in the freezer until needed and then start making more. Like other reviews, I get clear ice balls, but the center doesn't come out clear, but this is a property of freezing water, not from the actual product.

I read many reviews before purchasing and I agree that these were the best quality. They are easy to use
I had no idea how much of a difference these make. I’ll never have to worry about watered down whiskey again. I read many reviews before purchasing and I agree that these were the best quality. They are easy to use, easy to clean, and very sturdy.

Manufacturing in the silicone molds is kinda sloppy.
Manufacturing in the silicone molds is kinda sloppy. Leftover bits of silicone where the mold seams were, and the lids don't fit as tightly. I went with a different brand: Tovolo.

Work Good
Switched over to this after buying a 2-pack 4 ice sphere tray maker. This one definitely works a lot better after getting some used to it, than the 4 ice sphere makers. Wish i originally bought 2 of these instead. Nevertheless, i'm happy with my purchase and it does its job.

Easy to use, long lasting and proper glass filling spheres
PROS: easy to fill and remove, though a bit of warm water aids the release. Reasonably round ice, lasts a long time. Produced maybe 50 so far and no issues with cracking/tearing of the lid.CONS: not crystal clear, if that's important to you (tried cooled boiled water, distilled water, vibrating etc.) Leaks if not absolutely upright in freezer.Takes about 24 hours to properly form, but once formed can be removed from the mould and stored in freezer. If this review was useful, please click 'Helpful'. Thanks

Goodness, gracious, great balls of ice!
Excellent ice mould. Makes a very good spherical shape, without a big ring around the middle. Easy to use, with a clear level indicator line, so that you know exactly how much water to put in. Makes a really big 2.5" ice ball, much slower-melting than smaller ice cubes, as long as your glass is big enough. The silicon top part is easy to remove. They are stable and stackable when in the freezer.

X large simple and perfect ice balls.
Qualifying build. Take off rubber lid fill with water replace lid stick in freezer. That simple these are great for tumbler glasses as seen in picture. If its for cocktail glasses I recommend getting smaller ones

Great product work really well and looks awesome! 1 Giant Ice ball in a martini glass with a cocktail of your choice
Best result is to use a mineral water as it has less impurities in it and then the ice will be clear and dense so should take longer to melt or so I'm told! Also chill the glass first and only get these out just before serving, to be ultra cool don't just use water use a flavoured mix depending on the cocktails. lemonade works well!

They cool my drinks nicely and look pretty good doing it
I've used these a few times now. Works really well. I started using these to reduce the amount of water I was introducing into the freezer using ice cube bags. They cool my drinks nicely and look pretty good doing it. Easy to fill (fill to a line) and no mess. They come out of the mould ok, just need a quick run under the tap... Would recommend them.

Nice item - just the job for a hot day and a cool drink
A useful item - small and compact. Fits easily in the freezer. In fact I am delighted with the Chunzy Chef Ice Ball - the mold creates a very aesthetic ice cube - novel but practical. Love it.Nice item - just the job for a hot day and a cool drink

Cool cold drinks
These are brilliant. Made a jug of pims up and added 4 ice balls and they kept it cold for a good while. I have found though, the ones I froze for 3 days lasted a lot longer than the ones I froze for 5/6 hours. Definitely going to order more of these.

Excellent product, bad glasses!
These work very well -only problem is my preferred glass tapers at the top so the iceballs won't fit!Now deciding whether to get a smaller mould or a straight glass - Does life get any tougher?

These are fantastic - got cheesed off with buying small ice cubes that just dissolve instantaneously into the cocktail as soon as it is made. Went to a bar in Japan that had decent spheres of ice which made a big difference to the taste. Cannot be bothered to chip a block of ice and so these are a really good compromise!

So far so good
Good quality, can be a little tricky to get out initially but easier when you read the instructions! Now just need a bigger freezer!

Pushy supplier.
This item does what it claims to do. I am satisfied with it but I am not happy with the emails that I have been sent from the supplier asking me for feedback. I don't respond well to tactics like these so I doubt I'd recommend the product on that count.

Look great in drinks!
These are great balls of (fire) ice. Perfect if you don’t want to dilute your gin/whiskey/vodka too much!
