The Hex Bushing' collar was too thin for my cub cadet , as it requires a thicker collar to encase and secure the steering shaft in place as it is designed... However the Steering Shaft Pinion Gear fit machine as required

This is a perfect fit for the cub cadet lt1042. Looked identical to the original. 15 minutes to install and the mower was steering as good as new. Hopefully it will last as long as the original.

Works perfect for my white outdoor lawn mower. quick and easy replacement (15 minutes to replace) don't know if I'll ever use the second gear and washer the original lasted 15 years and not sure the mower has that much left in it lol
