NOW Supplements, Sunflower Lecithin with naturally occurring Phosphatidyl Choline and Other Phosphatides, Liquid, 16-Ounce

I use this as well as a powdered lecithin in bread and roll making. I also use it for bagels. The liquid is very sticky and is difficult to get off of the spoon. But it seems to work better than the powdered. It is also non-soy. I like that.

I wanted to include more choline, an essential micronutrient, in my diet and when I found out about NOW Sunflower Liquid Lecithin, I thought it could help to meet my dietary needs for choline. At first, I did not like the thick consistency of this sunflower lecithin, and it's taste, but I have grown to like it. In fact, I just drink it right out of the bottle, and the taste is reminiscent of almost flavorless gummies but with an aftertaste that slightly resembles the taste of vegemite. Second, more importantly, at least to me, is that this lecithin has choline in it, which I really liked. Third, and second most importantly, I liked that the value for money was within the price range I had in mind. So, I think NOW Foods has a good, high quality sunflower liquid lecithin product that can support a healthy diet.

Would buy their capsules and take them every morning but now that I found that they sell a lot more of it in un-capsuled form for cheaper, I'm buying this now. This product is great. I definitely feel it making a difference in my health and take it every day. It's texture is like molasses and it has an interesting sweetish dirt-y taste. It's an emulsifier so it blends well with basically anything and it really goes well with my whey Isolate protein powder, cocoa powder, creatine and hot water mixture that I make for my post-gym shake. You'll love it and feel great.

You can do lots of great kitchen work using lecithin to bind water and oil together in an emulsion. I use it in cooking (think oil and vinegar salad dressing that does not separate) and in gardening (peppermint oil and water to discourage pests on plants). You may have to do a bit of research to find uses for this stuff, but there is nothing else like it. (If you do tons of research you may see that in some cases soy lecithin is better than sunflower lecithin, but I don't like the soy lecithin and have managed to make sunflower lecithin work for all of my needs so far.
