In the first few days on city municipal water it began turning beige brown and continued to turn brown. I think I'm around 3 weeks in and it's still that same brown. No noticeable pressure drop and I have it in front of a water softener. The water in the showers have no taste after this was installed. I actually want a second filter to drop down to 1 micron, but this filter so far is great. I'll update if anything changes

The filter is easy to install, and it does a good job filtering out contaminants, and things. It should last several months before I have to replace it.

We have a 300 foot well with hard rusty water. These filters are the first in line before the next series of filters and they work great as a large particle filter

Excellent product

Very easy to replace this filter cartridge. It immediately starting catching small particles. It fits the filter we have. Right after replacement we could not notice a difference in the water quality and smell. Bit on the expensive side for replacement since it’s the oem replacement cartridge

If 'Amazon.ca' was smart, they'd put this in their subscribe & save program (as Amazon.com DOES) - as I use about one of these each month :) As for a review of the filter itself - it works VERY Well, especially in areas with high levels of chlorine in the water :)

We tried this one as an experiment against our standard Culligan R50-BBSA filter and it did not work as well. To be fair this filter has a smaller pore size and is meant to do more than just filter particulates. Realistically it is what you would likely put in as a secondary filter after the R50-BBSA had filtered the water. Our water does not have a color or taste issue so part of the filter is not really needed. However the combination of a smaller pore size and smaller filtration area meant that it lasted less than a month (compared to 3 months for the R50-BBSA) before we saw flow restrictions. Just went back to look at this and since 2019 the price for this has increased by 143%, seems pretty drastic. Made my mind up to not buy again. Not sure how they can justify doubling the price in a couple months.
