Do these contain 18650 batteries?

I have no idea on what batteries it has in the battery pack, but it is compatable for the Lenovo T420 that I have upgraded to windows 10, over a year ago. I bought this battery a long time ago, (also over a year ago) and it still working like new.

How good is this battery compared to an oem 70++? i try to stick to oem batteries, but the lenovo 70++ is $$$

Not much, in my case it seems the battery is a bit overrated, the capacity shows 94 watthr but my laptop only read 78 wh at new, however given the fact the laptop is older, I found the battery life acceptable for what it is.

Does this battery "stick out" (adding additional width) to a laptop?

The 9 cell (This model) sticks out about 2/3rds of an inch (1.7cm) If you need a battery that's flush with the laptop and doesn't stick out you're going to want a 6 cell

How do i claim warranty? the battery failed after 6 months.

the written warranty must state for how long the warranty applies, but six months seems short to me. take a look for that time frame on the warranty sheet and go for it if it failed before that stated period. an RMA ( returned material authorization} may be required, so get them to send you one. some outfits won't touch it unless they have authorized one. fill it out and do it just like they specify.
