Great garage/shop thermostat
Works very well for a garage/shop I keep at 40 degrees in the winter. Simple, basic and ez to install. Old school thermostat to just work as intended without all the "smart computer nonsense". Amazon is an awesome place to purchase items from but seems to have gradually increased product prices to hide the free shipping cost in the item price. This same thermostat is $27 with free shipping from Home Depot right now. Most of us know Amazon pricing isn't as good it once was, but, it still tends to be easier than most other stores for its one stop shopping value......and they have everything in one place.

4.5 stars for kind of product, not seller (see notes)
Seller did nothing wrong, unit works as expected and arrived on time. This is fantastic for systems that have heat only, it responds quickly, the product is sturdy and it doesn't feel flimsy. It was easy to install.I might have gotten a little spoiled over the years but the one tricky thing about this is setting the right "comfortable" temperature, as you only have a loose estimate of temperature range on the bottom. It's pretty old school still. If you argue with your spouse on temperature, it's probably best to get something more dynamic and electronic (eg: digital screen), or something programable. So in short: learning curve to find your estimated comfort zone, but it works well, is easy to install, practical, affordable.

Works well for my application.
This is the only "heat only" thermostat that I could find on Amazon that has an on/off switch. I installed this in our mobile home to replace the old one that changed the setting every time I turned it off and back on again. The switch on this is completely separate, and doesn't affect the temperature setting at all. The first year we moved here there was an older mobile home in the park that caught on fire, and completely burned. Ever since then, we always turn off the heater when we leave to go somewhere, and the switch is handy for fall and spring, when we have warm enough days, and like to have the doors open, but need the heat for overnight. The range for the temp setting is lower than a regular thermostat, but it still works for our needs. This type of thermostat is hard to set at an exact temperature, so I had to place a thermometer near it for a few days until I got it dialed in. After that I made a red mark on the body just in case it gets accidentally moved. The amount of time the heater needs to run was also very easy to set.

This is a great product!!!
After over 10 years of service in our garage controlling its heater, our old thermostat failed. We purchased this thermostat as a replacement. It works great and offers excellent temperature control.

Works perfect
I set it 32° when I know not going to be working in the shop. 2 wire hook up. Wish I bought it sooner.

JUNK
I wanted a basic thermostat without being programmable. My old thermostat works fine but I’m tired of the batteries going dead. I ordered this Honeywell because it’s probably the most recognized manufacturer. Got the first one, hooked it up (2 wires). Turned up the temperature and nothing happened. Got my meter out and found there isn’t any continuity no matter how high you turn it up. I can’t hear the thermostat switch, but not closing the circuit. I started a return to Amazon and just had them send the same item believing it was a fluke. When the second one came, I tested it before installing it. Same problem. The switch is clicking but there’s no continuity. I’m just going to get a refund and see if I can find another brand. Too much of this garbage is made in China.

Pretty accurate and at a fair price.
This thermostat is a good product and for the price, suits my needs in my heated garage. If you wanted to set this to a specific temperature (let's say in house), it would be very difficult because the temp setting is very hard to read. I set up two thermometers, one on each side of this thermostat to check it's accuracy. Since you cannot set it to a specific temp, it still appeared it was relatively accurate to what the thermometers were reading.
