The hardware on this product is inadequate. The strap hinge for the cover is thin and further weakened by the holes for the mounting screws. Ours snapped twice. Don't waste your time and money on this product. We scrapped this seat in favor of the "Big John" product, which has much better quality hardware and is made in the USA.
