I love Coastal Silkworms!
All but one were alive and well and arrived so well-packaged! Good-sized silkworms and consistently sized throughout and I lost count at 40, and still had a handful more, considering I ordered small ones. They were about 1” each and the food and habitat are perfect for keeping them. This option is definitely better quality than the local reptile store, where I bought a quarter of the amount for the same price and received some tiny ones and a couple that were bigger than my leopard gecko ‘s tail. Will order again, but I also ordered eggs, so I will update once those hatch 🤞🏽 Egg Update: I followed the instructions exactly. ALL of my eggs hatched 🐣 , and at least 90% of the hatchlings made it to 1” long before they became Gecko food. That said, I would not hesitate to order this again if I were raising worms to moths, but it is too labor-intensive to be a feeder silkworm mom. These guys double in size every few days and require some time and husbandry to feed, etc. You should clean the habitat twice weekly so that you don’t lose any worms to silk-poop tangle. These little guys make silk from the moment they hatch, so their 💩 and 🕸️ become quite the snare if left untended. They are also very delicate, so regular tweezers will not work. Flat head, rubber tipped is the way to go, so picking them up sandwich-style will minimize injury and not kill them by pulling them by segment. If you are feeding these to leopard geckos 🦎, they are an ideal food when alternated with other feeders like dubia 🪳 and black fly 🐛 larvae. Silkworm feedings do not require a calcium supplement. I have a juvenile gecko, so I do not feed it crickets 🦗, as they can bite 😳. I am personally not a fan of the jumping.

Super healthy!
They all showed up healthy and alive. There's so many, I ended up buying more food and separated the smaller ones. I like that there were a variety of sizes. My chameleon was happy 😊

They’re ALIVE!!!
There’s probably more than 50 and they are all alive! Unbelievable due to the fact that it’s so cold but they definitely did a good job packing them with the heat pack. I moved them to a bigger container and just scooped out the food.

Best way to get silkworms
This is the least hassle way to get and keep silkworms, they are alive and well and keep well in this setup, I am having a pet sitter watch a bearded dragon while I am gone and this is helpful for them to give him "fast food". The shipping cost makes this not sustainable, however :( I would subscription ship if the cost for shipping was lower

Arrived disgusting, My chameleons spit them out!
Not real impressed, when I received them they were brown and wet with poop all over them, they obviously weren’t good because my chameleon would grab them and then spit them out. It’s almost like they gave me super old worms or something. They had already started to spin silk, the lid was covered. Overall not impressed at all

Excellent lizard snacks
My gecko loves these. Nice and soft, easy on the tummy. And they come small and get really big before trying to turn into moths. It does smell a little weird and my dog wants them as a snack too, so storing them hidden away is best. Pricing is perfect for the quality and quantity
