My Children, Nieces and Nephews loved this book in their infant years to 10-11! Great for all ages! Even better, now my Grandchildren are enjoying! FANTASTIC BOOK!

I LOVE this book! I have read it aloud to all my children and just purchased it this year for my youngest a Easter basket so the tradition can continue.

I ordered this book used in hardcover but received it in paperback, in excellent condition. I contacted the seller to let them know and they immediately sent me the hardcover in very good condition. Very happy would order from them again.

Its a good read out loud book like you can pretend to be curious about what the mouse will do with the red ripe strawberry but the whole book was talking about the mouse the strawberry and the bear didnt even show up so kind of left wondering? Maybe that was the point that we ate the strawberry soooo the bear cant find it? Overall good read out loud book just wish there was some picture about the bear

1st book my daughter has memorized word for word

I read it so much, that she New what words would come next. She just had her first baby, so I bought it for her.

I found this book when I was pregnant with my son (now aged 40). I have bought it for every baby that comes into our family since! It’s such a delightful book and I’m happy it’s remained in print all these years.

I gave this to my niece! The plot is a good metaphor for how the government will always make up or use some rumored threat, to take more power and more of what is yours from you in tax.I hope she realizes that she doesn't need to live in fear. When she is older I will buy her Thomas Sowells Basic Economics. Every child should listen to that audio-book before high school so as to know how commodities relate to each other, so that they are not stolen from by propagandists.

I ordered this book for my 2 year old as it was a childhood favourite of mine. It didn't disappoint.The story alludes to "The Big Hungry Bear" who never actually appears, it is the clever tone of the writing and the expressive illustrations which get you to buy into the story.In some ways it's quite a dark tale, but at the moment as my daughter is still so young she just likes the pictures and doesn't fully understand the implications of the story.I remember loving this story up until the age of about 10yrs so I hope it will grow in popularity with my daughter as she grows up. A great buy for any age.
