Easiest Fishing Knots

These have clear instructions, seem durable, and are double sided. Great for tackleboxes and fishing backpacks. Any angler would appreciate this!

The format is not bad. It is sometimes a little inconvenient to swing cards to find what you need. Maybe each card could have a color code, so you could go to the red knot(s) card, or blue knot(s) card, whatever. I have reviewed many of the knot test sets available online. The point is, the easiest knots are not always the strongest knots. That said, you will be better off with a properly tied simple knot, than with a badly tied complicated knot. Also, you will not catch fish with your line in the boat, while fooling with a complex knot. Some of the best testing knots take some practice to complete quickly in less than perfect conditions. I just don't tie enough knots to be a reliable expert, so having an easy guide to consult occasionally, helps me. I can print this information out from my computer, but this guide is much handier, and more durable. Printer paper flies away in the wind, and it is embarrassing to wrestle an 8.5 x 11 page while your buddies are making fun of you reading, not fishing. Not 5 stars for me, because I partially disagree with the choice of knots in the guide, but still worth buying if you need some help. Easy to follow diagrams.

Great illustrations showing how to attach hooks and leads for a total beginner like me. Very detailed using color to show you the intricacy of the know. I like that it attaches with a carabiner so I can hook it to my tackle bag and don't have to worry about losing it. I also like that it's heavily coated with, I'm guessing, plastic coating making them totally waterproof and easy to clean after your dirty hands from fishing all day gets dirt and fish handles it throughout the day (I told you I was a beginner). I have been used to others doing it for me, but now that I'm older, it's relaxing to spend the day at the lake by yourself.

Take this review with a grain of salt. I haven’t fished in over 25 years and basically forgot everything. Mostly due to my friends helping me out. Now that I’m getting back into fishing, this perfect size manual? Of illustrations make it very easy to follow and learn all of the different knots. Fits perfectly in my new tackle box :)

Perfect addition to a tackle box

Practicing the fishing knots, so I can pretend to know what I'm doing. I knew one or two of the basics, but I hope to expand my knot tying knowledge for some diversity with options to pick the best knot for the current job. Heavy duty plastic cards on a swivel with a small carabiner included so not to lose them. I'm glad I bought these.
