CISCO SYSTEMS 24-Port PoE Gigabit Switch (SG11024HPNA)

Overall good product. Couple of things to consider before purchasing are1. All the ports are on the front right side so I had to use longer cables to reach the left side of patch panels.2. My older rack is too narrow once the brackets were installed on the switch to allow the unit to slide all the way in. Flipped the brackets around and it sticks out some but no issues otherwise.

I submitted a refund request because the product description clearly states 24 port POE switch. Their reply was "This is 12 poe ports in the original design". Yes and that maybe correct but no where in their description did it state only half of the ports are configured for POE. There descriptions and product info does not clearly state the true configuration of the product. If you're going to buy network equipment, buy Cisco. The low-end stuff like this is high quality, plug and play, and will never break. The higher-end stuff is more difficult to configure, etc., but at this level, that's not an issue.Read the description carefully - this has 12 PoE ports; not 24.

Switch came with virtually no descriptions or instructions. Went to Cisco support, still no adequate description or instructions. Called tech support who immediately said they I needed to first register the switch and call back. I did both, and the support person said they would forward to support! I did receive an email. The email stated my support case was closed since Cisco NO LONGER supported the switch! Sent switch back and bought Netgear switch. I went back and read the Amazon description. The switch model is several years old according to when item was first placed on Amazon. However, no mention of lack of support. Amazon and Cisco should discontinue the sale of this product.

The switch performed as expected. Only 12 of the ports are POE but that was fine for my use.POE is powering Yealink T42S phones easily.
