Perfect dual use

Great pedals. Is duel sided. Good quality. Well designed. Easy to clip on off and set tension.

These live up to the usual quaity of Shimano, but the level of the outer part of the pedal does not come up to meet the rest of the shoe, so all the weight is ballanced on the cleat rather than the outer cage of the pedal.

Good quality

These are nice pedals but a bit on the heavy side. I purchased them for my road bike because I don’t like SPD-SL roadie pedals, SPD is so much easier to walk in off the bike. Shimano pedals are really robust and my previous pair using the same axles as these have done thousands of miles and are still going strong. The only reason I wanted to replace them was to get double sided like these ME700 have. In the end I sent these back and went for much lighter Look X-Track Race pedals. They were far more reasonably priced than Shimano too. It’s not that the ME700 are a bad pedal, they were just a bit on the heavy side for a road bike, and I can feel the difference in weight as my cadence is better with the lighter ones.

I am having problems clipping in and out with my right foot. The left one is fine. The right pedal has been checked and set to the loosest setting but I still have problems clipping in and out. I have fallen off my bike twice since using these pedals and had to take my shoe off to release my foot. I have ridden using cleats and spd pedals for years but never had this problem before.

Great quality pedals with spd bindings on both sides. I love them and clipping in is easy. Recommended.
