I knew I'd made a good purchase, if for nothing else the wholesome goodness ...
Found these cookies in a local children's boutique while shopping for our new baby's clothes. Grabbed them on a whim, just to give them a shot as I am always on the go, and have dealt with milk supply issues with both of my babies. After the very first cookie, I knew I'd made a good purchase, if for nothing else the wholesome goodness you can taste in the recipe. Much like a protein bar, the cookie provides a much needed burst of energy/meal opt snack on the go and left me feeling like if made a good snack choice. By the end of the days I already had noticeably increased milk supply and after continued consumption, an even greater increase over all. There has been some speculation that these " lactation cookies " help in milk production simply by the placebo pill affect, if you think they will help they do help, however I feel It is definitely more likely the actual ingredients support increased lactation. And if nothing else they provide great in the go nutrition, and who can complain about a cookie. The chocolate chip is noticeably tastier than the oatmeal raisin, but both flavors are enjoyable. I look forward to tasting the lemon flavor. Definitely worth a shot. In regard to some criticism about the price, when broken down in price per cookie, just around $2.00, it is less than a protein bar or fast food snack and certainly healthier than he latter. The cookies are large in size and don't leave you feeling hungry. When added as a conscious snack, the calorie count ( around 250 per cookie ) will not harm your diet. Just remember to add the calories to your daily intake just like any other food you would consume. I recommend these cookies. Dads and siblings can eat them too !!

Wish I had known about these sooner!
I ordered these as I had used the nursing blend (non increasing of milk) and found they did the job and I had no issues taking thme. I really wanted something to take that was geared toward nursing/postpartum rather than keep on taking my prenatals. This is my 3rd child but my 1st that I am not pumping all day as I am staying home this time around. With my others I tried fenugreek, mother's milk drops and tea, and a prescription that is no longer available in the US (I can't remember the name). I felt the prescription one worked at times - but it is no longer available. I decided to order the increasing milk one this time as I felt like I was struggled to keep up while EBF - specifically at night as my son was waking up every 2 hours to eat and I felt drained all the time.I started out just taking 2 pills (recommended dose is 3/day) as I wasn't sure how much I would need and trying to make the bottle last longer. I felt like I didn't see much of a change so after 3 days I moved to 3 pills. After that I saw a change and felt "full" the next morning as I had usually felt completely drained throughout the night. I was impressed as I had never had this with my other 2 kids and really struggled to keep up after 6 months. After a month+ of using these I really feel like it helped boost me past the 4 month growth spurt I always seemed to struggle with. My son is now 7 months and eating food and sleeping mostly through the night, but when he does wake up, I feel like he is really getting a full feeding. He is eating some food now and I feel I am producing more than enough so I am going to go back to the nursing blend without the increasing milk. I feel I don't need the extra push and they are a little less expensive. If I feel I am not producing enough, I will not hesitate to order these again. The extra boost really did its job and I just wish I had these available with my first 2. I feel like it would have allowed me to not need to supplement while I was working and would have taken the "stress" out of breastfeeding while working. I took them at night so I did not have any issues with bad taste - but I did always take them with some crackers to make sure they didn't upset my stomach.

The taste is bad but it's 100% worth it!
I saw a big increase in my milk supply after I started using this product right. The instructions say to take three capsules a day so I was taking 1 capsules 3 times a day (morning, noon and night) and I wasn't seeing much of an improvement. So my hubby suggested that I start taking three capsules all at the same time in the morning and I saw a big difference. I went from getting about 4 ounces every 8 hours to about 8 ounces every 6 hours. I'm working my way up so that I can start storing my breast milk in the freezer and I know this product will get me there. The down side: The capsules are a little hard to get down. They smell awful and they taste just as bad. Drink a hole glass of water with this or you'll be tasting it all day and you'll have nasty burps too. I have to take it with a soda because the taste is so bad. But when you're desperate to keep your milk supply up so that you can provide the best nutrition for your little one, it is 100% worth it. I would recommend for anyone.
