This stuff is awesome! It's really good to have on hand in case of any emergencies. I had a leak in a pipe connected to the mainline of our house on a Friday evening so I just sealed it with this tape until I could get a plumber to come out. I saved so much money by not having to pay for an emergency appointment. So far, the tape has been on for almost a week and it hasn't let up. But I suppose, I should for real work on getting someone to come out here..The material is really plush and thick. You can tell it's probably going to be effective by just touvhing it. It feels like it has a million layers to reinforce it.Honestly, I just got this because I thought it would be a good thing to have on hand and I haven't explored how else I can use it. But I know there are things around the house that could use some reinforcement. At this point, I just like having it on hand for peace of mind. Would definitely recommend to anyone, especially homeowners who aren't well seasoned in plumbing. Keep this in your garage and remember it because it will come handy for various issues and by avoiding "emergency appointments" you'll save hundreds or thousands!

I use this tape to add a good seal to the seams on the roof of my horse trailer , So far so good, I don't use it a the only sealant , so happily no leaks, and it is holding up well under 100 degree heat.

Used to repair small hole on metal roof of a race trailer. Worked perfect with a small piece of metal to provide support underneath the tape. Repair is bone dry.

Not sticky as should be, clear packing tape more sticky than this product. We applied it over the seams on our garage roof and when we were done it started to peel up. Wouldn't recommend this product

My 135 degree gutter joint was separated and leaking badly. I contacted X-Fasten for advice and I they were incredibly helpful. I was instructed to remove all joint sealant and to extend the tape well beyond the split joint. They also suggested warming pre-cut pieces of tape with a hair dryer to improve workability of the butyl layer. So far there have been 3 significant rain storms with no leaks. Hopefully the tape will endure typical winter freeze/thaw cycles. The only negative is that I have lots of extra tape. It would be nice if there was a single repair size.

Seems to be real butyl - just a little sticky as it should be, but it goes on well to prepared surfaces. Aluminum backing is a nice thickness too. Would buy again.
