Timberland Pro Men's Gladstone ESD Oxford Shoe

I bought these shoes to use in my work where steel toe is a must. I already own a pair of Timberland Pro winter work boots that are really really comfortable and made well so I was initially attracted to these shoes because of my experience with those boots. They were not cheap however as they cost me about $100 a boot. These are much more reasonable at $100 for the pair. What I like about these shoes is that they don't look like your typical steel toe footware. They are very stylish and professional looking yet are very protective and non-slip. I was also very impressed with how comfortable they are even with the steel toe as some steel toe boots/shoes can be uncomfortable to wear. Now they run slightly large to accommodate the steel toe but are not large enough to allow for me to drop down a half a size as some have suggested doing. If you need steel toes shoes and want them to also look good for a decent price then definitely buy these shoes. They are worth every penny.

I ordered two sizes as I'd read they run a little large. I typically wear a 14W in normal shoes but the Timberland 14's were a little loose. The size 13W fit perfect with regular socks. The shoes are "lighter" and have good cushion that makes them extremely comfortable to wear all day. They are great shoes and I look forward to wearing them when I visit our manufacturing facilities.

I purchased these shoes in January of 2015 and have been wearing them for about 20 hours a week on a normal basis. Initially the heel rubbed a bit however, I expected that having read other reviews about this. As the shoes have broken in, that went away. They are very comfortable work shoes. In the time period I have owned them, I have had about 6 weeks total of 12 plus hour days in these shoes with the longest continuous 12 plus hour days being over two weeks. These shoes were very comfortable through that length on time. As others have commented, they do not breath very well so your feet will start to feel that affect after a few days and your nose will start to notice it as well after a while if you have several long days in these. As a point of reference, I don't have foot odor issues on a normal basis. Another positive for me is the arch support. I typically have to replace most of my shoes insoles with Superfeet or Sole insoles to get the arch support my feet need. I have not had to that with these shoes. Even after long days I have worn these, the arch support is above average which has been a very welcomed surprise. One thing I am impressed with is how much these do not look like safety shoes to me and others. They do have a bit more bulk than a normal lace-up oxford shoe however the shoes do not have the typical safety shoe bulk. Putting aside the lack of breathability, these shoes are really a good choice and would recommend them to others.

The shoes fit perfectly (recommend buying your normal size; these aren't too big/small). However, as noted in other reviews, I can see where the design does leave a bit to be desired. You can visually see where the safety toe material ends because it leaves a line in the leather. Also this transition protrudes a bit on the side. After heavy use, I expect both of these areas to become more and more visible. Will probably keep them because they do seem comfortable, but I'm prepared to need to replace them in a year or so.

I love this shoe! I have had these for the past 3-4 years and they are still going. I use them to ride to work daily, dressing for church, walking. I use them for everything and the soles are soft so I can stand and walk long. They are steel toes so my feet are safe. Durable leather exterior. Only aging effects are by the top of the back where the plastic has been worn out.

My quest to find a comfortable work shoe over the years has been difficult at best. No joke. However I think I have found the best one so far. Time will tell though. All other work shoes I have had are always kicked off at the end of my work day and something comfortable is worn for the drive home. Well for the last 2 weeks that I have been wearing these shoes, I just wear them home. No need to change out for something else to drive home in. Think of that! I am on my feet all day in a heavy manufacturing environment. These shoes are better than ANY boot or shoe I have tried. And I don't really feel that a breaking period is needed. My wife bought these for me as something she thought looked good and to just try them. What do you know. There great! Oh and the sole has terrific grip properties.

They are the most awful shoes Timberland I've ever bought. They fit tooo large, I didn't even use once, they feel like you would be using a weekend boat. The width is not as expected, I thought it was wide. The tip doesn't look like the picture, when you open up the box it seem like you have asked for a clown shoes. Very very disappointed.... I have always bought 8.5D, but the shoes were looking like 9.5 W, for clown, only that in brown color. The picture looks very very beautiful, but when you have them in front, the tip is round and awful... I guess they are comfortable. I just use them to try in a mirror....

TImberland's are the only steel toe shoe that will fit my wide foot. The others safety shoe makers list their shoes as wide but the steel toe is narrow causing extreme discomfort. Nope, the toes on these are wide making it an all day safety shoe.

Uso una medida de zapato que oscila entre el 9 y el 10 mexicano, que depende de la horma del zapato, la amplitud del empeine, o la anchura de la punta, es difícil para mi encontrar un zapato cómodo debido a esas circunstancias. Los zapatos me gustaron mucho pero la protección de acero en la punta es otro factor que altera la comodidad en la medida de los zapatos, por eso los devolví. Los zapatos no tienen ningún problema.

Cumplio mis expectativas y la entrega fue de acuerdo al plan

Me lastimó la lengüeta durante las primeras 2 semanas pero cómodos una vez se amoldan al pie, formales, a la vista no parecen ser zapatos de seguridad. Hay otro detalle, los solicité en talla 11 US, yo calzó 28 MX, pensando en que iban a llegar solo un cm más grandes; no fue así, fueron casi 2 cm más largos.
