Splint and brace
Adjustments ability, functionality and ease of use best describe this product. I highly recommend purchasing these braces. Well worth the money.

Amazing!
I wish I had these for the last 8 years. These provide complete support and comfort to both my thumb and my wrist. They are very sturdy and extremely well made. And for the price, I'm very happy. They're super comfortable and fit perfectly. They were so easy to put on. Just make sure you measure your wrist and follow the size chart.

A little bulky but works
A little bulky but did provide relief to my hand. I frequently get flair ups and when I do, I put this on and it definitely does the trick. I have slept in it several times and sometimes it can be uncomfortable but it does supply the support and structure and really stops my hand from throbbing at night. When I'm wearing it during the day I don't have much issues with it, and the velcro has stayed secure after several uses. Well made and would recommend.

Much better than my first.
I like this product much better than the first split issued to me from the E.R. I broke my Scaphoid bone in hand and had to wear spica splint until hand surgery to repair. I am a nurse, so well aware as to function the splint had to meet. Worked great, more comfortable and first one I received had price of metal going all the way up side and into thumb, very uncomfortable and ended up somehow snapping that piece of metal in half part way up thumb which then repositions itself and digs into thumb. Not only painful but the repositioning could very well be counter productive. This new one does the same job, much more comfortable and no metal, (instead molded plastic- still in tact) and cheaper than trying to replace first one exactly on Amazon. 5 star product to this nurse.

Good thumb support but palm splint is uncomfortable and limits hand motion.
The thumb support is great and helps reduce thumb pain. However, this brace also has a palm splint, which is not removable. The palm splint comes almost to the base of the fingers, especially when the fingers are bent at the carpometacarpal (CMC) joints. This really limits hand and finger motion. I can't type unless I really loosen the palm, and then I make a bunch of typos whenever I wear this brace. So, I wind up wearing this only when I am sleeping or watching television.

Significant support
My husband needs surgery on his thumb but has to wait in-between short term disability at his job to get it. After trying a few braces to help him as he's waiting, this one finally helps with the support that keeps the pain down some.

Miserably Uncomfortable for DeQuarvains Tenosynovitis Post Surgery
This was purchased upon recommendation by my medical clinic to wear after DeQuarvains Tenosynovitis surgery (had a cast for 3 weeks post-surgery, then needed to wear this brace for three more weeks). This brace supposedly is designed specifically for this condition, and I'm not sure I could recommend it for managing the condition prior to surgery because it is still uncomfortable but I definitely could not recommend it for post-surgery. I found that the "seams" or overlapping portions of the brace as well as one of the metal stays (stiffener inserts) were directly over the affected area causing extreme discomfort over the incision along the path of the tendon. It was unbearable without stuffing it with cotton padding. The other areas where inserts were placed were also uncomfortable including the thumb where it had a metal 90 degree bend upside down over the thumb (second from left in photo). There were a total of two stiff plastic bars and two metal pieces that I tried cutting out to make it useful but it still was painful and I discontinued use after a couple of days. I've added a photo of the pieces I removed for an idea of what's in there. The wide metal bar was in the palm, which is fine except the small brace was still to large for me and it didn't fit in my hand well. The entire brace was too large for my small arm so the straps wouldn't tighten the brace enough to secure it without placing padding under it. Definitely not a good choice for me, waste of money. Maybe useful for some other condition (?) but definitely not my DeQuarvains Tenosynovitis.

After trying cheaper splints, I now have no thumb extension and no wrist movement.... bliss. Thank you.

Just taken delivery of this item today. I suffer from De Quervain's Tenosynovitis and even slight movement of the thumb in the wrong direction can be very painful indeed. I have been using compression gloves and a less robust wrist/thumb support. They gave some support but this splint/brace has almost completely immobilised my thumb. Just what the doctor ordered.
