Better than wished
The first test was in a thunderstorm with heavy rain. ( OFC I had a secondary shelter and my car pretty close. ) Used it by two person. I have to add, it worked and can be a shelter for 2 but ideal for one plus gear. 100% water proof. The wind is nothing to this tent. 2 small issues. The closing zips of the rainfall from inside are hard to reach and those plastic hooks at their end tried my patience. Told to be 3 season. In the UK I would go with it anywhere in any season if I have a reasonable sleeping gear. In 8 degrees , heavy rain and 40mph wind I was pretty good with a 3 season sleeping bag and a £6 inflatable mat. I did not need my coat and could not wear my sweatshirt and pants ans socks due to the weather. They were on me when I piched in the rain. All wet. Still I had a cosy warm night without any fear. I heard the noise of the wind... like a bullettrain... the constant showers but the tent did not move, did not leak. I had a pretty good night.

Great light versatile tente, very nice for outdoor activities or just to have for emergency plan winter time stock somewhere and need to rally a point. Plan B.

I combined with the Six Moon Designs 5 section UL tent pole because I don’t use trekking poles. Keep in mind that flat ground and staking is critical to a good set up. This is a small tent so I think you’ll be cramped in it if you are taller than 5’8”. This is a very light tent but the material seems sturdy.

While I appreciated the weight and packed size of this tent, I did not realize just how true of a one person tent it is. Not one person and their gear, ONE PERSON. I also had the stuff sack it came in tear beyond repair on my second trip with it down the Rogue River Trail. On my third trip with it through the Wallowa Mountains we encountered rain and occasional snow. Despite the significant amount of mesh used for the tent body, I had MAJOR condensation issues. Dripped on my sleeping bag all night and gave it a giant wet spot.

I feel good about this purchase. Watched the videos online about it and got what I expected. I'd buy it again of I lost it.

Just returned from my first over-night in the this tent in the desert. Forecast called for clear skies and temps in the low 40s. The wind started howling in the evening, and by 8 pm, gale force winds were reaching peak gusts of 55 miles an hour, with sustained wind of 35 to 40 miles per hour. I was "off-trail" and had no choice but to stay the night and hope for the best. This tent held up unbelievably. The wind continued for 11 straight hours. The only failure of the tent was the small plastic hook that connects the vestibule doors to the guy-out. It sheared in half. I made a "field repair" using some parachord and the tent held together. I was surprised and impressed, since very few tents are designed to stand up to this kind of relentless beating. Literally NO tears or breakages of any kind, and although it was "flapping like a flag in a hurricane," it kept me protected from the wind and blowing debris all night. I seriously doubt if any free-standing tent would have held up in this kind of wind. PROS: Sets up nicely, (with some practice...watch some videos) and easily. Plenty of room inside with storage pockets and lantern hooks. EXTREMELY durable in gale-force winds. Double-wall tent. Really light-weight. Does NOT cost 600 dollars! CONS: Footprint sold seperately at one-third of the cost of the tent. Stuff-sack sucks a little. Opening is too small. I would buy this tent again, no problem. I'm looking forward to using it again soon!
