Pictures don't do these pliers justice. They simply disappear in my pocket. Moreover the range of adjustment is amazing. Obviously they aren't going to allow you to exert much torque, but for an always with you emergency (as in any time you don't have your regular tools) wrench to loosen the occasional nut or do other plier duty, these are tough to beat. I bought the cheap Crescent minis, and while adequate and a bargain, they don't compare. It's also nice to get something that isn't made in China. I may invest in one of those cheap plastic sheaths to keep them from opening up in my pocket, but they ride pretty well as is. Love the quality.

Perfect EDC pocket pliers. They're small enough to disappear into my pocket. They're tough and well built, and have very precise tip. They'll even pull a splinter.

The small size and quick to use without the locking button make these great as every day carry. My wife prefers to carry this one in her bag with her hair tie so they don’t go poking around with other things in her bag. I love that they’re always available with her when I need them, especially on long drives with a hot engin. Was surprised to see that she uses them more than I do. We also own the 5” with the locking button which has been demoted from every day carry to our garden shed where the kids put them to good use in the garden with the hose, bikes, patio furniture etc. Having both the 4 and 5” around at home and on the road gets our moneys worth sooner as we’re putting them to use right away. I really love the teeth on knipex cobras as they give a really good grip, and the angle groove in the teeth also help twist bolts or anything with an angle. Would recommend the longer ones like the 10” if you’re looking for more torque for stubborn joints. I ordered all of my knipex from overseas as they seem to be cheaper. Pro: +the small size belies how useful this tool is — almost like an extension of your hand, particularly if you have lost dexterity or pinch strength. In additional to loosening nuts, I’ve found these pliers handy for opening plastic blister packages and removing staples. They have the closing precision of surgical forceps. +surprisingly handy in tight spaces (under the sink to unscrew the diverter when you don’t want to damage a work piece with too much leverage. Still have to be careful because the jaws can exert a lot of force and mar workpieces. +jaws open wider than the Knipex mini pliers wrench and ridged jaws are far more useful than smooth jaw pliers in most applications. +Knipex quality, actually has more knurling and detail than the bigger versions Cons: -still somewhat clumsy when trying to size these around a nut, but maybe I need more practice. -expensive for what they are, I mean they are great but I think $20 is about the right price. -black oxide finish is ok but doesn’t cover the jaws — mine picked up oxidation on the first use and the jaws are susceptible to corrosion.

They're very small, very light, and adjust easily if that's what you need. They are also expensive but they are German, they're well made, and sometimes you get what you pay for. The handles could use some grips, tape, or wire shrink wrap... to help your hands. If you can hold on to them you can do a lot more with this tiny set of piers than you initially think you can and better than a Leatherman for somethings.

Ein kultiges EDC-Werkzeug und das völlig zu Recht! Super kompakt und dennoch absolut taugliches Werkzeug. Muttern bis 24 mm und Rohre (oder ähnliches) bis max. 28 mm können damit genutzt werden. Klar, durch den kurzen Hebel ist die Kraftübertragung im Gegensatz zu normal großen Werkzeugen geringer, aber das beste Werkzeug ist das, was man dabei hat! Die Zangenflächen packen gut zu und schließen vorne präzise ab. Ist zwar kein Ersatz für eine Pinzette, aber man kann auch kleinere Objekte sicher und zuverlässig greifen und/oder ziehen.
