Awesome Alternative Chewing Gum
I bought this as a healthy alternative to chewing gum, and I will be buying more soon. If you're used to strong artificial chewing gum flavors, you will find this is very different. It tastes like ( because it is ) tree resin. The product arrived fresh, and in good condition, although it took a long time, all the way from Greece. It's a harder chew than standard soft chewing gums. I am an aggressive chewer; being hyper active, I enjoy chewing to help me think, so I like the added "resistance" of the texture of this gum. Some of the pieces are so fresh that they stick to my dental work, but after some chewing they settle down and don't stick any more. I did purchase another brand of much smaller pieces of Chios, and mixed a little with my Spry Xylitol gum, which worked out well. I love this so much that I don't mix it with the Xylitol gum any more. Although you might consider this gross - since it has it's own anti bacterial qualities - I often set it aside in a covered dish after chewing it for a while, and take it up again later. I have tried adding some essential oil of peppermint for flavor, but that turns it into an impossible sticky mess that you can hardly get off your teeth. Overall this is a fantastic product if you want a healthy alternative to chewing gums that are full of plasticizers, artificial sweeteners and flavorings.

Good product!
This is a good, quality, product. There's no flavor to speak of but, it seems to leave a slight waxy film on my teeth which drives me insane lol. I bought it after researching bacteria in the stomach. It does settle the stomach.

While I slightly prefer another brand, this one is a better price with the added convenience and speed of Amazon shipping. Thanks to a previous review, I checked my bag for any rocks, etc. and found none. The only reason I slightly prefer another brand is that this one is a little bit harder to chew. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Terrible Quality
Most of the pieces have black spots on them. It is not soft. Trust me, it’s not worth the money. I advise you to look for other brands.

Will not purchase again.
I'm a mastic gum lover in that mastic gum has helped me keep my H. pylori and IBS in check. I have heard that antibiotic treatment calms down H. pylori but will not completely eradicate it, which explains why I still felt as though I had it after antibiotic treatment. Now, if I forget to take mastic gum for a while and start having stomach pain and indigestion, I start using mastic gum capsules again and soon feel much better. I was hoping that these little pieces of mastic could be chewed to improve my breath, which seems to be a problem for many years since I first got H. pylori. But, they are very hard, flavorless and dry and do not help my breath. This is a lot like chewing wax.

Ulcer Remedy
Mastic is a resin obtained from the Pistacia lentiscus tree, more commonly known as the mastic tree. Other common names for mastic include Arabic gum, Yemen gum and tears of Chios. The mastic tree generally grows in the Mediterranean region, and its sap can be dried into pieces of brittle translucent resin. When chewed, this resin softens into a white opaque gum with a pine-like flavor. Mastic has long been used in ancient medicine to treat various gut disorders, including stomach ulcers and Crohn’s disease. More recently, animal studies report that it may act as a potent natural ulcer remedy.
