When I was a little girl, a life-sized version of this sculpture (about 10 times bigger than this particular piece that is for sale), crafted in white marble, was kept in a large picture window of a stone company that carved monuments. The building was blonde brick; the window was square and large--back-lit with a soft, pinkish glow that gave the sculpture an other-worldly appearance. I grew up with this statue. It was so lovely, so beautiful to me as a child, that I never forgot it. I knew that falling in love simply had to be exactly like this... There is an elegance of movement to it that doesn't go away, no matter what angle one takes when looking at it. As I grew older, the monument company moved to a more prestigious location on a multi-laned, tree-lined avenue; however, the ethereal lighting in a different prominent window, remained the same. It seemed that no matter where I moved in the city, the statue went, too. During the day, its whiteness blended into busy nondescript surroundings; but at night, its owners always took pains to see that its softly curving shape stood out against the starry, darkened skies. I tell you this, because when I saw it for sale, here, I was stunned. Once again, the years had passed, but as if by accident, this statue appeared while I was looking for something entirely different. Now, though, it was in a suitable size for my home, seeming to have followed me, still. I bought it at once! It arrived, and has been a treasure for me every single day, rather than the occasional wistful memory, or the happenstance of my driving by from one decade to the next. It's well made, with clean lines and smooth execution. I cannot find a single, teensy weensy thing wrong with it. In fact, and between us, because it's smaller, the detailing is more in-depth and complete than on the larger piece that I originally knew, albeit perhaps less intricate than the massive original that is housed in Paris. The smaller size and tighter available space of this particular likeness is also slightly different than the original in terms of physiological detail, rendering it more discreet--not such a bad thing for a living room full of guests, or younger children... When you purchase it--and you must if you have a serene delight for beauty--be sure you have it resting at eye-level. Let everyone who comes within view, be able to visualize it from the most revealing angles. Also, do your best to keep it where one can see all sides of the sculpture. It's fully realized; while the front and sides are definitely more evolved than the back, be certain to give at least the three sides an open space, close up, for enjoyment. The detail catches the lovers at the moment of embrace: Contraposto, or contrasting positions, animate the moment of the lovers' height of passion. It's very feminine, very romantically and tastefully erotic, very beautiful, very Neo-Classical. It belongs on a surface that might be mirrored from below (as shown in this photo), or mirrored around it. Either that, glass, or dark wood to contrast against the pristine white. You must show it off. It's not that it's so large; however, it commands its own space. Treasure it. Enrich it. It asks for elegance and opulence. I cannot say much more about the sculpture: I am at peace when I look at it, as I, too, am caught in Eros' and Psyche's moment of love.

I received my product really quickly, and it was packed very nicely in a large box with a lot of foam to shaped to the statue. it looks exactly as pictured and sits on my shelf to admire daily. I absolutely adore this affordable statue.

This is my favorite statue in the Louvre museum. I recently saw the original and wanted to bring one home. Fortunately, Amazon saved me the trouble!! This is a low cost option to other sites which have the same statue in marble. The color is very light, almost white. I placed it in my dining room where it makes me smile every day. I was very pleased with the way it shipped, as the wings could potentially be broken during shipment. However, mine arrived packaged extremely well. The statue was intact and is exactly the same as the original (NOTE: some other sites have this statue and the positioning of various elements is not correct - this one IS Correct - a big thing for me). I am very pleased with the statue and the seller's shipment to me.

I am in love with this statue. I’ll never forget the first time I came across the real thing in the Louvre, and when I saw this, I decided to take the chance and I’m so glad I did. I think it looks even better than the pictures. There isn’t a single flaw that I can see, and I looked. It’s beautifully smooth and the weight is perfect. I wish I could have it on a pedestal in the middle of my living room so I could see every angle! It’s the most beautiful representation I can think of of the power and perseverance of love. Completely worthy of Eros and Psyche.

We are a big fan of Eros & Psyche statue and have been luck enough to see the original at Louvre museum a few times. So, when ordering this item, we were a little worried that this may be a disappointment. But it turns out to be the opposite. This statue is a well made meaning the posture and facial expression there (not perfect of course but it is definitely good enough). There is no scratch marks at all on the resin skin of the status. The front, sides and back of the status capture the details quite well (even the arrow and vase behind Psyche are there adequately).is I would say that quality and price here is far better than the ones at the Louvre gift shop

the description given does not make it justice", because this is BEAUTIFUL! Great material, great weight, perfect size!! If you are a fan of this sculpture pay attention to many of the ones that are being sold; This one has the bottle on the floor that Psyche was carrying when she was told not to open it, and Cupid has his bag and arrows on his back! I am in love with it!!

I purchased this item as a valentines day present for my wife because we both love this statue so much. It fits on a bookshelf and I think classes up our place a bit.

I'm giving this a 3 stars because overall the statue is nice and it's a good size! However, deducting 2 stars for the fact that I have to return it and crapy QA process. The wing looks like it was reattached and there's are quite a few scruff marks and even some yellowing on the bottom near the feet... I would suggest for a better QA process prior to shipping it out since people who like this kind of things would typically notice imperfections. Tbh I'd rather reorder this in a bronze finish as the quality of it being in white is unforgiving.
