KOHLER K-13431-CP Coralais 24-Inch Bathroom Towel Bar, Polished Chrome

A quality product, looks very nice and modern. Mounts well and easily.

I own a small hotel. Hotel guests are extremely hard on everything in a room. We were constantly reattaching towel bars that guest some how managed to pull off the walls. We had one room in particular that the only practical location for the towel bar was right out side the shower. It would seem like a good place for a towel bar, expect guests were using it as a grab bar getting in and out of the shower. We were having to reattach it weekly, and every time it was pulled off, it was increasingly damaging the wall. Most towel bars use a mounting plate which is attached to the wall, and then the towel bar is attached to the mounting plate with small screws. If enough force is exerted, the plates will actually bend and the towel bar will come off the wall. The Kohler towel bars use a different mounting system. They have a solid post that extend outward into the mounting hardware. There is a deep groove at the end of post and a screw is used to secure the bar to the post. After we installed this bar in our most troublesome room, we did not have another problem with it for a couple of years until one guest actually ripped the entire wall out with towel bar. Not the bars fault. Just so you know, we have now put a horizontal 2x4 behind the drywall and reattached this same bar. Now their kids can swing on it and I don't think it will come off. Great towel bar.

They look great, however their base support is slightly smaller then my original Kohler towel racks, if they are installed on a “wallpaper “ wall best have some kind trim/ cover to hide the reveal, and the mounting plates are different but they will match up to the older mounting plates but you may need to redo wall anchors

This rod was very nice and easy to put up. Nice template included. We have this tiny bathroom and the rods have to go behind the door. So we did not have room for one of those double rods because they stick out too far. So we mounted a long one first for the bath towels and mounted this shorter, matching one just a few inches above it for the hand towels. They work perfectly.

Good value for the money and well designed product. No cracks to catch your towels on when you yank them off. Looks great too. I am very happy with it

Love the bars. Not so crazy about the mounting plates. Have to be dead on. They do supply a template. Just be careful. Worked fine. Love the style. Very secure when mounted. No plastic plastic parts as one reviewer said.

Comes with a template so it's very easy to install. Directions are clear. Product is good quality and looks great in my bathroom.

This line of Kohler accessories is beautiful and modern, very well designed as always. It took me a minute to figure out that the small hex tool needs to be used first to release the mounting bracket from the trim. BE AWARE THAT THE BRACKET TEMPLATE INCLUDED IS NOT CORRECT, at least it wasn't for the three towel bars I installed. THE TEMPLATE GENERALLY MEASURES ALMOST 1/2" SMALLER THAN THE UNIT WHEN IT'S PUT TOGETHER. Be sure to check the finished unit against the template before taking a tape measure to the wall. I had to drill for the brackets a second time because I didn't realize the problem.
