My dog has never wore a raincoat or any kind of “dog” clothing in his 3 years on earth. I put this raincoat on him after it arrived and at first he wouldn’t move and he just gave me that look of “I DO NOT like this Mom!” However, after a few minutes later and some coaxing he was able to start moving around. I took it off after 5 minutes and decided I’d try it out next time it rained. That was today! We went for our walk and he handled it and acted like he’d been wearing it his whole life. It works great and kept him dry as a bone. He seemed to be agitated by the long clear hood at first and I planned on cutting it back some but, after about 5 or 10 minutes he seemed to get used to it. He was able to lift his leg and pee on every tree and bush like always and when he took a #2 💩 it worked out just fine. The fit is ok, not perfect but how can it be with so many different dog sizes and shapes. For reference I went with the 4XL and my dog is a standard poodle weighing in at 45 pounds, 23 inches tall from the floor to shoulder blades, and 23 inches long from collar to beginning of tail. I like the pull string tabs on the sides, it really helps with making it fit better. My only complaint is I wish the legs were longer because I have him in a Miami/Bikini cut which gives him that look of having leg warmers at the bottom of his legs. All that hair got wet but, the rest of his body was perfectly dry after a LONG walk in a steady light rain. The photo is after we came inside and I took the raincoat off. I believe with the amount of time it will get used it should last a long time. For $20ish dollars, this was a great Amazon purchase.

Love this raincoat! It keeps legs and body dry. I have 2 goldens and when its raining there long hair and legs get so dirty & wet. 1st golden is 48lbs, long legs and body. I ordered her a 3XL fits great. 2nd golden is 54lbs, shorter legs, little wider. I ordered her a 4XL. Its a little big, not that big of a deal. It has an adjustable part around her hips if it becomes a problem. They don't like the hood but going to do what another reviewer said, Velcro the hood to the back.

I have a VERY fluffy and large Golden Retriever. Between Amazon, Chewy, and other sites, I think I've tried 5 different slickers that say they're made for dogs of his size (I always make sure he's w/in the listed measurement ranges), and this is the FIRST one that actually fits. When you FIRST put it on, it'll seem WAY to tight and stiff, so let your dog walk around in it a bit (even if you do that inside on a nice day) just to work it in a bit. Even worked in, it IS SLIGHTLY tight (according to the size range, there SHOULD be a little more give), but he can move and run and sit without much problem, it'd just be nice if there was a little more slack in there. The slicker stays on and keeps him VERY dry (which is great, b/c in a downpour w/out it, it takes 45 mins WITH a pretty powerful blow dryer to just get him dry enough to let him onto the sofa or even his own bed). The down sides: - The hood, which is VERY big, leans RIGHT on his muzzle, and he kind of hates it. I've added some velcro to the hood to hold it up more ON TOP of his head rather than on his muzzle. \ - If you use a leash instead of a harness, I don't think you'd be able to use this coat without it tearing. There seems to no way to get a leash in there. - There's a flap meant to cover the hole for where you'd hook your leash to the harness. I sometimes walk my dog fully off-leash, and that flap does NOT stay down (so I'll be adding velcro there too), which means the rain leaks in and gets his back a little wet. Overall tho', this was a nice surprise. It's far better made than I expected and has so far been easy to rinse and very sturdy.

Trying out Aliha's new rain slicker, because who doesn't love a fashionista in waterproof gear? She's such a good sport, and I'm pretty sure she's secretly thanking me for saving her gorgeous coat from certain doom. Raindrops just add to the adventure with this little sidekick. Rain or shine, our walks are always a blast. That's apartment living for you. I recommend this rain coat. It was easy to put on and take off. Like I said, she really did appreciate staying dry!

Time will tell…Glorified fitted “ shower curtain “ raincoat! LOL good thing he loves me! I will say once I rolled up the front legs it did keep his undercarriage and harness dry- not sure it saved any time overall though- less dirty since shower curtain wipes off better than dog hair/fur. Leash hole was in correct spot for the harness underneath. He was able to poop & pee with the waistline as snug as possible. Had to order a size Large due to his barrel chest. The back legs worked great due to that dog heel thing preventing slippage. Junior’s front legs are too short. I wish the elastic was a little firmer but overall for the price this should work for summer wear or with a sweater underneath.

No more dirty undercarriage after wet walks!! My sweet baby is a 13 year-old Corgi/Heeler mix and a tad on the chonky side ... she's also built like a Dr. Seuss character. Its ridiculously hard to find any functional dog clothing that fits her long body, narrow hips, broad shoulders, barrel chest, and short legs. After carefully measuring her and rounding up (like most of these reviews say to do), I ordered a 3XL. It covers her entire back and belly perfectly! Its not too tight or too loose around her chest and belly and the pull string to tighten it around her hip/lower belly helps keep the suit in place. I did need to roll up the legs a few inches, but they totally stay in place even on long walks. She was a little nervous about the sounds the suit makes at first, but was over it after two walks. She's blind so the clear hood isn't really necessary, but I love that it covers her face and ears and is light enough not to push her ears down and make her uncomfortable.

Basically a 1-3 time use coat. After that, it’s garbage (elastic wears out or one of the buttons breaks/loosens are the most common issues I’ve encountered. Invest in a higher quality coat instead.

My dog has winter clothes and one winter yellow jacket. But it is not efficient at all. Needed something to cover her especially her legs during winter. I like it because so far it is the best. It covered her completely, except her tail and her paws. Easy to wear easy to remove. I give it 5 stars. However, you have to keep an eye on your dog because it’s delicate and could easily tear off if your dog like to scratches his back by trees and bushes. Also, you have to be delicate as you put it or remove it on your dog. Also expect It to be dirty and needs to be cleaned every time. But again it does the job. As for the cover head, I never saw any jacket that has a good cover head. The measurements are never correct because dogs sizes are different. For my dog, this one was acceptable
