Updated rating: Works great
I am updating my rating to 5-star. I had 2 problems with the first turntable I received: it wouldn't handle an object that weighed over about 5 lbs, and it wouldn't rotate back-and-forth at 360 degrees. The seller reached out and offered to send a replacement at no extra charge. The replacement had no problem handling a 20-lb weight. However, it still wouldn't rotate back-and-forth 360 degrees. The seller confirmed that it was not designed for a 360-degree back-and-forth rotation, and updated the description on the web site accordingly. The turntable works great in all other aspects. It will handle 3 different rotation spends, as well as allowing the selection of a clockwise or counterclockwise rotation. It will rotate continuously at a full 360 degrees, or can be set to rotate back-and-forth at 90 degrees or 180 degrees. And it is not even struggling with a 20-lb weight.Previous rating:I purchased this device because I needed a turntable that I could rotate 360 degrees one direction, and then 360 degrees back the other direction. I also needed a turntable that would support up to 20 lbs.Unfortunately, this turntable would not allow me to rotate 360 degrees (in back-and-forth fashion) - it would only turn either 90 degrees back-and-forth, or 180 degrees back-and-forth. When I attempted to set it up to 360 degrees, it reverted back to rotating 90 degrees back-and-forth. So basically, the ASA feature does not work for a 360-degree back-and-forth rotation. Also, when I put an item on it weighing about 8 pounds, it floundered and would not continue rotating. When I put an object weighing about 15 pounds, it would barely move before stopping altogether.Seems to work okay for very light objects - except that the ASA 360-degree back-and-forth rotation does not work at all.

Does what it was advertised to do but could be improved
I would have given the product 5 stars but there is one aspect of it that caps it at 4. The controls and lack of feedback makes operating it a guessing game. If the button press was consistent you could derive what operating mode it is currently set for but it does not respond to button presses consistently. I’ve found that for it to respond, you need to press the buttons and release quickly or it will not respond to the input. I had this happen numerous times when trying to adjust the rotation speeds. I know it would add cost but including some addition visual indication (LEDs) of operating mode would help this a lot.A more subjective comment that did not impact my selection of stars was the rotation speeds. I opted to buy this over other products due to availability but I now wish I had been more patient. The speeds available for this device match what was advertised but turns out was still too fast for my needs. I’m using this for 3D scanning and the slowest speed is still a bit too fast in some cases. I’m using a fairly decent scanner that is able to keep pace but some scanners may not be able to maintain tracking. If you’re intending to use this like I am, consider something with a rotation speed slower than 30 sec per revolution.

Does what it’s supposed to!
Does exactly what I need it to. The variable speed is nice too. Battery life seems to last a long time!

Great for that professional look
This rotating stand is robust and comes with a variety of motions and speeds. I use it for displaying and taking photos and video of my customized diecast cars and it works great. The speed can be slowed down for a more dramatic effect or sped up for more fluid motion shots. And for those doubting its weight capacity, I placed a ten pound dumbbell on it (I know it’s rated for heavier weight) and it rotated smoothly and effortlessly.

The sent me a used one, I bought another and the new one doesn’t work properly
The media could not be loaded. Upon unboxing the unit I was immediately suspicious that it was a previously used unit. The battery that came with was already installed in the unit and it did not come with a charging cable. It also came with a brown mark on top of it. The unit itself does not stutter and it does the programmed moves fine. It is mildly loud however, and has a buzzing sound. It uses MICRO USB to charge. I ordered a black unit to confirm my suspicion and see if there was a difference. I found something interesting. The black unit was for sure not a returned item. It came with a wrapped cord, with the battery out of the unit. I noticed that the black unit uses USB C for a charger. I’m not sure if they’re still sending out units that aren’t updated or not. I was excited for the black unit but that one stutters when it moves around. Overall if you want this unit quality control is terrible and there’s a good chance you will find something wrong with the one you order.

Does what it's supposed to but not quite what I'm looking for.
The table spins and does what was advertised.Just not quite the quality that I was looking for.At its normal speed it rotates just fine but it was more or a merry-go-round pace and I needed it to be a bit slower for my figure display. At this slower speeds the table starts to lurch with stuttering movements; not the smoother spin that you get at the normal pace. There's also a low buzzing noise when the table is on (something that you don't really hear from most of the listed video reviews because they're masked with background music). You can really hear the buzz at slower settings almost like the servo motor is chugging. It might work for some but it just wasn't what I'm looking for.
