Q: What are the cubes made of'; and how big are each cube?

There are plastic cubes. They are so small that kids didn't want to playwith them. It's a great Idea

Q: people say these blocks are so small, their kids won't play with them.......how small are each of them? I want this to help my memory. I am older.

These are 3/4 inch cubes, a nice size that makes them easy to handle. Pixy Cubes is a very nice quality product, well made, with a nice tin for storage. The pattern cards are a nice weight, not flimsy. This is just a fun game that is great for children or adults. My grandchildren have never complained about the size of the blocks. I'm puzzled why they would be thought too small. There are 16 of them. Don't know why you would want them bigger - that would be difficult to handle!

Yes only 16 cubes. Better of 1-2 players. My older child stop playing this at age 7, not challenge enough for him. My 5 yr old girl does not find it interesting.
