Best ones I've used
I've used a few kinds and this one works best in my experience. I wear them overnight and sometimes I have to use a second one the next night if it's a really stubborn cystic breakout. My only grip, I wouldn't even really call it a gripe, is it dries my skin out a bit in that spot and I have to deal with flakiness for a day or so.

Easy to apply
I was skeptical about this the first couple of times that I used it. I found it hard to apply because it is so sticky that it stuck to itself and to my fingers. After a couple of uses, I got the process down and find that it is very easy. It literally takes a minute or less to slap this baby on before going to bed. The good news about the stickiness is that it does stick to your skin as intended. The directions tell you not to use over any product, which is what all silicone patches say. I was bummed about that because I do like to put a vitamin A serum on every night. I find that if I wash and treat my face early in the evening, this patch sticks just fine if applied several hours later. One thing that I don’t like is the only ingredient listed is “100% medical grade silicone sourced from Germany.”However the listing, under the section From the Brand, says their wrinkle fighting hyaluronic patches have hyaluronic acid and hydrolyzed collagen. It definitely feels like there is product in these patches and I’d like to have a full ingredient list. I do notice a difference in my wrinkles with this patch. My forward lines and the deep lines between my brows are definitely minimized and the improvement lasts all day. I use the smaller patches sporadically on other targeted wrinkles. Unfortunately I have many of those! I tried them under my eyes and that was not comfortable to me. Maybe I had them too close to my eye. I’ve used the forehead patch about 14 times and it’s still going strong. They are a little pricey but I’ll likely purchase again. I’ll use most days of the week and try to get a month or more out of them. If I can do that, the price of $29.95 will be worth it to me. A subtle but noticeable improvement…

Great Adhesion; Good for Overnight Use; Expensive
The Truly Gone Acne Zone Patches are 100% hydrocolloid. It comes in a resealable pouch with 10-pieces and retails for $45 as of this writing. Hydrocolloids are moisture-retentive dressings. The dressing's active surface is coated with a cross-linked adhesive mass containing a dispersion of gelatin, pectin, and carboxymethyl cellulose, together with other polymers and adhesives, forming a flexible wafer. In contact with wound exudate (the gross puss and infection coming out of a cut, blister, or pimple), the polysaccharides and other polymers absorb water and swell, forming a gel. The telltale white gel remains within the structure of the adhesive matrix. These sorts of dressings are usually used to treating blisters but have since been marketed for acne because of their incredible yet simple ability to quicken the life cycle of a pimple. An active, sore, swollen zit will reduce in size within hours of use and eventually flatten out. These are not going to work on cystic acne. These protect users from picking at the spots. Also, they don't dry out the skin the same way many topical acne treatments do. This non-drying, protective layer, drawing out the infection, also helps lessen the scarring/redness common with acne. The acne patches in this assortment vary in shapes and sizes and are thicker than your standard, smaller pimple patches. They are far more expensive too, at $45, for 10. I would use these overnight as they are noticeable. They're not as "invisible" or transparent as the sale's post promotes. I've used various makes and brands of hydrocolloid patches for acne, and these are thick, effective, and have excellent adhesion to the skin (stay put all night). Just be sure you properly prep the surface beforehand (cleanse, treat, allow to dry, THEN place the patch onto the desired area before bed and remove in the morning). You can always use a more discrete, truly transparent dot on your more stubborn spots during the daytime hours. While I think having a few large patches on hand for a nasty forehead breakout is good, these are a stopgap. They'll help heal and protect the wounded skin as it is recovering, but these won't fix your ongoing acne issue. These sorts of patches are a great stopgap but not a "cure." Meaning, if you got these to use the large patches all the time, it would get really really expensive. But if you couple these with your regular acne-focused skincare and use these for the occasional cluster of breakouts, they'd be practical and help hurry it along to the healing stage. Each comes with a white backing and tab. I would say they can be trimmed (cut in half with a very sharp pair of scissors, for example) if needed.

Used according to direcdtions and they work well
My nose has large pores that either collect or produce oil on a fairly grand scale. The oil in turn collects dirt and that shows up as tiny little blackheads. I'm sure I'm being overly self conscientious but I always feel like people notice my nose more than I'd like. I used on of the patches so far (you get ten) and the results were pretty impressive. I applied the patch after my nightly shower. I did not use the recommended "Truly" cleaner but I did scrub my nose area fairly well. After letting my nose dry I opened one of the 10 pouches and applied the patch. The patch fit very well and covered my entire nose area. The patch stuck on tightly and actually opened up my nostrils to help with breathing. I went to bed, slept about 7 hours and when I got up the patch was still securely in place. I took the patch off, it came off quite easily, and was very well pleased with the results. Not to be overly gross but the patch had lots of "gunk" on it and my nose was significantly less oily than normal. The patch also removed a lot of the tiny blackheads that normally form on my nose. My nose was also smoother looking than normal. I didn't immediately wash my face and my nose area was somewhat sticky but that disappeared on its own after a short period. The patches aren't cheap but they do work. They are individually pouched so opening one doesn't affect the others. I'll try using one once per week and see how that does. Recommended to help with oily noses.
