CONTOUR NEXT ONE Blood Glucose Monitoring System

Overall love this glucometer set. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during my pregnancy and had to go through a crash course of diabetes solutions without full insurance coverage for all of the higher tech stuff which is usually contingent on diabetes type for most U.S. insurance plans. This set was easy to use and was compatible with the excellent mySugr app, which allowed me to track my readings for Dr.s visits. For a total newb like me who found the whole experience very overwhelming it was a great product to have. Some people mention that it will randomly stop importing readings. I found it to be completely reliable. The one or two times it did not import automatically is because I either needed to: make sure the mySugr app was open when I turned the glucometer on or to check to make sure the bluetooth settings on my phone were switched on. The only caveat I will add here is that the test strips are not included by all insurance brands and can be very pricey, so make sure to check your plan before purchasing.

This was purchased to check for hypoglycemia episodes when I have dizziness/weakness due to medication side-effects. Monitor worked as advertised. Came with all needed components inside box (including 20 test strips & lancets). Storage bag is a handy addition, although not high quality. Setup was simple and instructions easy to follow. Results appear reasonably accurate (I took a fasting CBG and result was similar to a very recent fasting venous glucose level done through my primary care provider) although I am unable to completely confirm accuracy. Shipping was prompt and no issues with delivery. The box for this item was tossed in a shipping bag with several liquid items that were ordered at the same time - fortunately nothing spilled this time.

Fantastic product. Exactly what I needed to help calibrate my CGMs. Easy to use, super durable, great smartphone connectivity, and the lancets don’t even hurt all that much. Easy to read, easy to use.

I did my research on monitoring systems before I bought the Contour NEXT ONE. I am happy with my purchase because it is super easy to set-up and use! The Bluetooth is turned on by setting up the meter in the free phone app. The free app is nice and gives great information .I love the Smart-Light on the Next One because there isn’t any guess work! It lights up the color of normal, high or low readings! Also, if you do two consecutive long presses on the power / OK button a white LED light comes on where you enter the test strip!

Second one, first six years old and served well. Nice app that lets you store data within the app or integrate with IPhone Health App. Very handy interface. No coding, and no errors!

Comes with an app, had lancets, easy to use, small volume, quick read. Not a diabetic, so take my opinion with a grain of salt and I did not need to use this for a long period of time. But I was curious enough about my blood sugar that I invested in this and I really enjoyed it. I like the Contour Next one products - I use them for work. Test strips are expensive, but I believe contour next one has some of the cheapest.

It keeps a record of my previous readings, it's easy to use, and compact, so I can take it with me.
