Works perfectly
Used on sage barista pro and instantly improved extraction and flavour (i did swap out basket for the sage one though). Really consistent (and brilliant) shots every time now, whereas before it was a lottery. Also impressed with quality and aesthetics.. brilliant buy.

Good product at reasonable price
I'm using this bottomless portafilter on a Sage (Breville) Barista Touch. It fits perfectly the machine. The finishing are not too bad for a product with this price. In terms of functionality... it does what it says on the tin. It's a very useful tool to get your grinding, distribution and dose right. It comes with an additional 2 cups filter, but the quality of this latter is (to me) inferior to the standard one.

Very good product for such a price
Well I’m impressed for the price. There are obviously better bottomless portafilters available, as in made from real wood etc, but this is for a Breville Barista Pro and I got it to check the extraction and help with the fact that you probably don’t need so much effort to heat it up to quickly pull a shot as half of it is removed and not soaking up the temperature of the shot.Well when I used it, it fitted in the machine great, and pulled nice shots without squirting me in the face, so all is good with my technique and naked portafilters do look nice whilst they are pouring. So therefore the worry of buying what I consider to be a cheaper end product worked out good as I think it is well worth it, but if you wanted you could pay 2 or 3 or more times the amount you could and would probably receive a more luxurious item, but for me it wasn’t worth it and I am very happy with the product so highly recommend it.

Well made but very finicky to use correctly & makes a mess
The portafilta is well made and fits my brevell machine well.I'm struggling to get a single nice stream out of it though and it makes a lot of mess. I understand this is because of something I'm doing wrong in prepping the shot, but I also don't have the time in the mornings to take as much care and attention as it needs to work correctly.I wouldn't recommend to anyone in a similar situation.

Transformed my sage experience
I was Really struggling to get a consistent extraction from my sage barista pro. Bought this beauty and the step up is unbelievable. Cant understand why Sage don't ship the BP with this type of p/f (or at least offer it as an option)- it addresses all sorts of issues (heat related in turn related to the quick start heating element) and its really good looking. In my view, you cannot spend £30 better- ditch that horrible sage pf (who ever thought a pf with plastic in it is worthy of a £700 machine?) and use this and you will be gobsmacked at what amazing extraction you can get from the Sage BPBuy this with a decent set of scales (accuview ones are fine), and a proper hand tamp and be prepared to weigh and adjust your coffee into the p/f (cos the grinder has as much control as a 18 year boy on their first serious date) and you stand a decent chance at getting great coffee consistently wiht your sage.

Poor build quality, very poor quality basket
Wish I had sprung for a higher quality one, I assumed the basket would be pretty terrible, but it went straight in the bin, swapped to some of my own baskets which work ok - but just note that you will need to throw out the basket if you buy this. The actual portafilter feels very cheap and poorly constructed, handle comes off very easily and the metal feels like its made of something non-ferrous, likely aluminium so I don't have strong hopes for it surviving particularly long.

Was good but now broken
Bought this 2 years ago and worked well and allows viewing of the basket when extracting. All was well until I began to get leaks around the seal between the brewed and the portafilter. I checked the seal and tested the original Sage portafilter and they were all OK. I then noticed one of the lugs on this portafilter was bending away from the main body of the basket ring. This has never been overtightened in the machine and never dropped, so presumably just a poor casting. I guess it lasted 2 years but would have expected it to last longer with the light use it has had.

Good fit on Bambino Plus
Hope this review helps those journeying towards a setup on the Bambino Plus but have had this for a couple of weeks now and it’s been great. Used the basket it came with, the original double shot from the Bambino, and then latterly a precision IMS basket. Seems to fit well in the machine and have had good results. Would recommend and had previously found the options on here overwhelming. Wood seems good quality and the handle itself appears to be a galvanised alloy but no issues at all so far. Baskets fit nicely snug inside and it’s cleaned easily.
