Helly-HansenWomens Mayen Waterproof Breathable Parka Insulated Hooded Jacket

I searched high and low and decided on this coat to take on a November European vacation. I needed something waterproof, lightweight and warm. This coat did all three. Standing at the top of the Eiffel Tower in windy, rainy weather, I stayed warm and dry with only a tank top and a cashmere sweater under it. Because of it's length, my pants also stayed dry. It handled the cold weather in Amsterdam in November also . I have shorter arms, and because of the ribbed banding at the cuff, I didn't have to alter the sleeves. I was extremely pleased with this purchase and will have no problem taking it on travels in the winter. I know it is warm enough and definitely waterproof. Proof that it doesn't need to be down to be warm. The only improvement they could make is to make the hood detachable. The pockets are also slanted / open in a weird direction but I managed.

This is a beautiful coat. If it is below 40 degrees out you will be cold!!
