Q: I opened it up today and the paint is very thin. Watery like even after stirring. Is this normal?

No, it shouldn't be watery. It should be slightly thick, silky and one color. The top layer can be watery at first but blends into a thicker paint when stirred thoroughly. If the can is more than a year or two old throw it out.

Q: Should I use a primer if my cabinets now are expresso and Im going to paint them white? I don’t want any yellowing to appear over time.

I had real dark cabinets , and painted nuvo titanium white!!! You have to sand them with 300 to 330 sand paper then you need to clean with dawn dish soap to make sure oils are off , then get all the dawn solution off then clean with a windex to get clean . It will take probably 3 coats of paint , to cover . The nuvo paint has a primer in it
