YERBA MATE CUP SET - Handcrafted Mate Cup (Portugal), Mate Bombilla and Organic Yerba Mate Tea - Yerba Mate Set

Been dropping energy drinks out of my diet and have been drinking Yerba instead and it’s definitely doing the job as a healthy caffeine substitute. Yerba has a bitter and herbal taste, tea and coffee enjoyers are likely to enjoy it. Some people may want it sweetened which can be done but I prefer it as it is. It’s only a small process to brew it traditionally but is definitely the best way to experience it and I’d recommend being a flask to take with you where you drink it so you can keep it topped up. I’ve noticed my skin has been clearing up and my energy levels are up during the day, but again this does contain caffeine and sensitive uses may want to avoid drinking it too late in the evening as you can feel the effects of it. The cup is of good quality with a decent straw. This particular Yerba mix has quite thick cuts wish stems but still has a pleasant smooth taste. Definitely not as bitter as other Yerba I’ve drank.

Beautiful elegant cup, love the shape. Have no option about Mate, was my first time trying it... Bought this set just because loved the cup and I use it for drinking chimorrao. Sometimes using it for green tea, or black tea. I always buy loose leaf tea and the straw ( bombilla) is a very convenient for it.

The tea is quite nice however the cup is nothing special any mug would do and you'd have a handle on a mug. The straw while helpful to not drink tea leaves is metal so itis hot from the liquid.. I would buy the tea which is sold separately by this and other companies and a get a basic cafeteria.

First time trying Yerba mate, I like the little cup and straw quality seems fine to me. The cup doesn't get too hot for me, instructions say to use 80 degrees water only which I did. Apparently the cup and straw are important to making the tea although maybe a tea leaf strainer would do the same job. Tastes almost exactly like green tea so I was pleasantly surprised! Will repurchase the leaves definitely.

The mate is of very good quality and the cup itself is gorgeous and really modern. Love using it on a daily basis.

The set is well made and easy to use. The quality of the mate though is not as good as I would have liked. Lacking in strength, about the same hit as a properly made cup of tea (ie loose leaves brewed in a teapot the old fashioned way).
