Incredible. I really like using this carbon and have used it in my freshwater and reef applications. For the price and qty alone you really can't beat it. It has worked well in bags and a reactor and does not grind away easily. It also rinses nicely when replenishing, As a matter of fact, I almost felt it was a shame to toss after my first change as it still looked great and was keeping my water crystal clear. I used it for a month and will continue to push a bit further to see to what extent it lasts. I tested my findings with the white bucket test and my water was crystal clear. I've since changed my setup to try a waterfall effect over a baffle in my sump to test the ways in using the product and it seems to be working great in this fashion as well. Good item and will buy from again. (Setup = 75g reef display with 40g sump, and a 40g breeder display for freshwater goldfish, no sump, and use inside of my Aquaclear 70's)

I hate scented cat litter. I can’t remember where I read to add carbon to plain litter, but I tried it and it works great. This really cuts down on odors and the cats don’t mind it. The only thing to consider is if your cats kick it out of the box and you step on it, it could stain.

This charcoal is good once in place, but I'm on the fence about buying it again because it takes so many rinses to get it ready for use. I had black sink water for quite a bit longer than the BRS brand. It's also coarse, which I don't mind, but peers in my fish world have complained. It does the job though, and personally, I prefer coarse, but I'm no expert in tanks. I just think it's easier to clean the counters after use. I used it after a chemical treatment and my tank looks crystal clear so it's definitely doing its job.

But excellent quality and less dust then many others like Marineland. Don't get me wrong, it will still need a good rinse but not so messy as other name brands.

Great product, good price, BUT it only came with one container. Not a 2 pack.

it does reduce the smell of our new cabinet. It will be better to have more bags coming with each jar. Now I have to make those bags myself.

Cleared up my tank quickly and great for the price. Should include 2 bags though. There's so much carbon in each one that you either need to use 2 socks/bags or you have to use it separately.
