Handcrafted to perfection
The media could not be loaded. This little neck knife is a wonder. It is perfect sized and the right is nice and big for easy use and will work great for bigger hands. It's a very nice rough forge steel that sharpens like a dream and holds it's edge greedily. The sheath is tight and very well crafted of genuine leather. The only complaint I have is the leather was insanely dry when the knife arrived. As I stated in my video, the neck cord it came with snapped almost immediately from dryness but I had a different cord to use anyway. A little oil and the leather is as good as new. All in all this knife is a killer purchase for the price and comes paper cutting sharp out of the box. Thanks again, Toferner!

Love it!
I love this. Perfect Size to carry. The only thing is I thought it was a keychain. So I was a little bummed about that... I have no way to lock it in to keep it if I use it as a keychain. But that aside, I just love this and I was thrilled and I think it's case is simple and pretty. The blade is perfect and it's light. Again the perfect little knife to carry because it can fit just about anywhere.

Wish I had bought this in the first place !
Ordered this a couple weeks ago... questioned my decision thinking it was too small so I cancelled my order... MY FIRST MISTAKE... ordered a similar knife from a different seller .. my second MISTAKE !...the other one was only $14.99 ..... it was a tiny bit larger and "thought" it would fit my hand better.. Uhhh NO.. that fit was NOT good at all! ...Plus the other knife would not cut one thread of bailing twine, it’s sheath was poor quality.. might have been some sort of composite leather. ( but ya get what ya pay for – Live and learn)...I SHOULD HAVE JUST STAYED WITH MY ORIGINAL decision and bought THIS ONE to begin with! - DO NOT question the size and fit of this lil knife... ( I did, and was wrong! ) This lil knife fits nicely in your hand... and has a surprisingly good grip… so don't think you have to be tiny and petite to be able to use it... It passed the bailing twine test with flying colors... have not had to skin a squirrel with it yet ( hope I do not have to) but am looking forward to cutting a nice steak around the campfire with it... and the sheath is made of good quality leather….it is worth paying a little extra to get something this nice..If you are considering it as a gift? Rest assured the person receiving the knife will enjoy it... Do check out their www. website.. Toferner does some beautiful and quality work !

Cool and sharp
The sheath for it is a lot lighter of a color than expected and the string it comes with is shedding. The knife itself is absolutely amazing. Feels great quality and it’s the perfect size to carry around to feel protected. I love collecting knives and swords and the like so to add this to my collection makes me very happy. I’ve been trying to embody a more cottagecore/ hobbitcore style and this little knife is perfect for that.

Useful But...
I've been using this a lot, I love the little thing. Only one problem, the blade was not sharp enough. I could feel a nick or two right out of the package. Good thing it can be sharpened. I just need to buy a wet stone now. I did expect this to be sharper out of the box though, since it's hand forged and nicely crafted otherwise.

Accurate reproduction of a period knife
These small knives were a must-have during the Dark Ages. They were used mainly at the table to cut up Roast Beast. In those days the fork had not been invented. Spoons for the table were unknown also. You had two tools to eat with. A knife and your fingers. It had to be a messy affair. I read about one young lady who married a local Prince. She could not abide eating with her fingers. She had a two pronged fork like device made out of silver. When she used it at a dinner party the guests were horrified. Her social status fell faster than a crypto coin. They said it looked the Devil's tongue. Just ahead of her time. This knife is very well made. It came sharp out of the box but improved with a very swipes on my RADA sharpener (from Amazon). I followed up with a ceramic stick to remove tiny burrs. The sheath is quite nice and well made. The leather thong they include was used as a belt to tie the knife around the waist.I'm sure not every big hairy dude back then used one so small. I would have opted for a small skinning knife with a real handle. As an aside, a homemade fork made out of bone was found in China. It was several centuries older than the Dark Ages. Someone cut grooves in the bone and made a crude fork.My knife is used as a display only. I wouldn't consider packing it around, but you certainly could. For collectors it's a solid buy.

Excellent gift very durable
I'm of Irish decent (I got the celtic cross pattern case), and my husband is Navajo. I gave this to him on our wedding day over a year ago. He absolutely loves it. He always has it on him, or in the Jeep. He uses it for everything from cutting the plastic bands off the hay and straw bales when he feeds the animals, to using it to cut up apples for the horses. He uses it all the time and it is still like new. This knife is extremely durable! The leather case fits perfectly and looks great in spite of what he puts it through. He has loads of knives, but this one is his favorite and most used. I'm so glad I got it! I didn't have a lot of money at the time, but I wanted to give him something special. This little knife was/is beautiful, and was relatively inexpensive. I would recommend this knife wholeheartedly! It has been really used to it's full potential and is still sharp, as well as a unique conversation piece.
