This a great training for bird dogs. Not only do they get a visual, but they also get sound. Powered by .22 blanks this will send the bumper roughly 75yards depending on the size of the blank. The recoil isn't that bad and there is a cushion to make it more comfortable. The blank rounds are quick change and easy. I've probably used mine for atleast 50 shots with no sign of wear and tear. Its made of heavy steel. The bumper floats and is made of a very thick canvas. My dog is notoriousfir ripping uo bumpers but yet has out a hole in this one. The firing mechanism is very simple and straightforward. Simply pulling back on the spring loaded hammer is all it takes. Spare rubber O rings are included for the firing shaft. Please no that this is as loud as a firearm firing. Hearing protection is highly recommended. This is a top of the line training aid that will last yiu a long time.

Great use

We use this with our lab, and it works great. Launches a great distance, is a great size & weight. The color of the retrieval toy sucks as it gets dirty but can be washed off.

It worked great. Read the instructions, they will keep things from being pointed in the wrong direction. Also, it's a bit louder than you'd think for a little 22 shell. Easily as loud as a 20ga. Haven't had it long enough to know anything about durability though.

Works great and really launches the dummy out there even with only a green load.
