My previous Omnigrid 6.5 x24 ruler had a half inch measure on one side. I messed up one time too many with that ruler. Was glad when I dropped it and one corner broke off.I love, love, love that this ruler has consistent 1" squares. Haven't even used it yet, and it's so much nicer than my Omnigrid.

I use it for all kinds of cutting for artwork and frame mats. It’s nice, accurate and wide. I’d buy again if I ever need it replaced.

I thought this ruler was a good value. The product was as advertised and lasted a long time. I say 'a long time' and not forever, despite the 'Lifetime Warranty.' I used this with a rotary cutter and added a suction-cup handle to it for cutting fabric. Worked great, but after several months the rotary blade made little 'micro-cuts' into the plastic of the ruler. Over time these cuts started to catch the rotary blade, which not only chipped out even bigger divots, but really started to shorten the life of those expensive rotary blades.At first I thought the blades were just getting dull because I was cutting upholstery grade fabric, but then I realized that the fault was with the chinks in the ruler itself. I think this ruler is a good value, but if it's advertised with a 'Lifetime Warranty,' I'm not sure I should have to count on buying a new one every six months to preserve the sharpness of my rotary cutter blades.

I am loving this ruler, folks. They shipped this fast. I was super surprised to receive this sooo quickly. This ruler is of high quality. It is 1/8th of an inch in thickness. This, along with the fact that it is slightly flexible, NOT FLIMSY/ FLOPPY, helps keep it from being easily broken. The weight of this ruler is excellent for those of us who have wrist problems or previous wrist injuries. It came in a cardboard box that was secure. So, you won't have to worry about damage to your ruler. And the fact that it is delivered so fast, cuts down on the chances that something could happen to it in an extended situation. The ruler does have hot pink to red numbers and line increments that are highlighted by white to make it a little bit better to see or to make it easier on the eyes. I might add, this is , indeed, very effective too. When marking according to a line increment, keep your eyes on the red line or hot pink line that is being highlighted because that is the actual increment---1. 1/8th, 1/4th, etc...., not the white highlight. 'Cause it's just the highlight, folks. Now, the lines that are running vertical the full length of the ruler are not highlighted. And really, they don't need to be. That would be overdoing it.
