This product smells and feels so heavenly!! I have extremely damaged, high porosity hair and moisture was refusing to stay in my hair for more than a few minutes. This has been such a gamechanger! I applied this as a sealant using the LOC method, and it made my hair instantly soft and manageable and my hair was actually moisturized the whole day. My hair didn't feel too dry the next morning either and applying a tiny bit of this after oiling did the trick and my hair feels soft all day. I'm trying to resist playing with my hair because that's how good it feels. And I love that it is so lightweight and won't weigh your hair down! It does feel a bit greasy but I don't mind it at all, because come on it's butter. You can't expect it not to be. For context, I had chemically processed hair that was fried and I recently shaved my head, but the new growth was coming out dead and dry as well, as I had damaged my cuticles. Give this product a try, you will not regret it!!

This is the ONLY product/brand that has actually rid my scalp of severe dryness and dandruff. I tried it back in 2018 when I had curls and loved it then. Then I cut my hair and completely forgot about this cream since I stopped using any hair products. The severe Dandruff and dry scalp came back and for years I went back to trying different brands & products, none of which were effective. I’d get minimal results with some but most would make it flare up even more. To my surprise I found the jar I used back in 2018 and used it. The smell and consistency were off (not horribly) as expected but believe it or not, it still worked after first use. That let me know this is a quality product, so I bought a new one and will be using it. It has a mild pleasant smell and consistency is soft. It makes my hair shine but isn’t greasy, and it’s water based (first ingredient) which is most important to retain any moisture. This cream is the truth! I really hope they don’t change the formula. I use this along with their dry scalp Cowash.

It's expensive right? Well me tell you...it's totally worth the price! (long and thorough review from my experience with transitioning hair!) Background: I am transitioning to natural hair! I'm about 3 1/2 months post relaxer (I have fast growing hair so I've got a lot of new growth). It's been hard trying out stuff that will work for both hair types. Learning how to soften, manage, and hydrate natural hair, while ALSO finding a product to work on the relaxed hair. I've been having issues with air drying (my hair would be as dry as THE EGYPTIAN SAND) as I want to stay away from heat during my transition. Anywho, I've tried oils (coconut oil, even caster oil but I haaaaate that smell yuck) and none of that worked for me. I read that I should try BUTTER for my hair instead of oil, as I have ultra thick hair. I bought this because of it's good reviews and it's pricy so...it must work right? :') Well, it does! Results: I successfully air dried my hair with this! My hair is very soft and manageable too; it completely trapped in all the moisture I'd normally lose from drying my hair! I had my hair in braids for 2 days and I just took them out and I don't even feel the need to rehydrate my hair! Both my roots and relaxed hair feel so soft and slick. I am in awe of how awesome this stuff is! The cons: The price! Come on, its ridic expensive haha. But you PAY FOR QUALITY! Remember that folks. You get a small size of it too for how expensive it is. It is also a little bit greasy. Greasy as in, when run my fingers through my hair I get a little bit of that grease feeling. That could be because I used too much. It was my first time using it soooo! >u> But to be honest it's not THAT greasy, just a little bit. I rather have no grease at all so that's why I count this as a con. The pros: The smell! Smells like vanilla. Very sweet and light smell, not that typical strong "natural" smell that unfortunately a lot of black haircare products have nowadays. (This has caster oil in it and luckily you can't smell it!) THICC. It's super thick haha. We aren't given a large container but a little definitely goes a long way! I have a huge head with a ton of thick hair and you can't even tell I opened it haha. IT WORKS! This is the best pro of them all. It actually works! It works so well that I decided to instantly write a review for it, because I'm so happy! This is going to make my transitioning process SO MUCH EASIER. Now I'm confident with air drying my hair, and I know that I can have soft and manageable hair all throughout my journey. It also makes my new growth nice and fluffy soft so I'm sure this product will be on my hair even when I'm completely natural! This is a 5/5 star product. I feel it will be a holy grail product for me, even this early into my journey haha. I know I'm super psyched so I just wanna say I WAS NOT PAID for this, I paid full price for this stuff and I'm a very happy customer so that's why I'm enthuzzed!

Let me tell you something... This is AMAZING. I have a 3B Curl Pattern. And so... I have tried products. This is the first one that I have tried that literally works with my hair. My hair is softer, fuller and alive feeling. Other products leave my hair dry and/or it weighs it down or leaves flakes or simply just isn't for me... Now, I use only AS I AM products. I use the Cowash in the shower (they also have a curl shampoo that I use from time to time). Then when I come out, I apply this Butter Cream, or I use their spray oil, or leave in conditioner or their milk lotion (*all amazing products that you should amazon now!*)... regardless of what I use... I ALWAYS use the buttercream. You can use it to give it a little more flavor, or to give it a reshine. Its thick creamy that glides like soft whipped butter... lol. (I suddenly see how they got the name). But if you are like me, you probably don't and can't wash your hair everyday. If i did that... I would do so much damage. This cream refreshens your hair. I use it daily. After I shower/when I wake up - and before I go to bed... Just nice to give it the love it needs :D Give it a try. I really feel like you will like it. It smells good, it feels great - it doesn't leave your hair greasy looking or anything. As I Am products truly allow me to be that... Naturally Beautiful... I've been using a cheap hair moisturizer from the grocery store for about a year and everytime I turned around, unit was still dry ( explains alot huh?), I've used the cowash from this brand before and saw the hair moisturizer and decided I'd give it a go. First thing I noticed was the smell, it's not overwhelming but still smells really good. I love the whipped texture of it and smoothness , really makes it easy to put on hair without leaving a weird residue on your hands. I used this product with my hair oil and left them in 2 braids ( mostly due to laziness to take them out), the result? My hair only needed to be re moisturized a few days later. The price you pay for the amount of product is definitely worth it, especially because you don't need a lot to get results.

It is very thick and creamy and smooth. Has a pleasant smell and doesn't flake when it dries or leave a residue. It makes hair feel soft. It is easy to wash out and doesn't leave a film or anything. It doesn't hold moisture for as long as i would like. It last about 2-3 days before needing to redo and reapply. I can get about 3-4 applications from one jar which ends up me needing to get a new bottle every month. The price is ok for what you get just wish the quality were better. I've used it for about 3 -4 months now to see just how well it would work in my routine and have decided that I will give something else a try.
