Amazon Brand - Happy Belly Pearled Barley, 16 ounce (Pack of 1)

I do not understand why pearl barley isn't available in grocery stores any longer...only the "instant" stuff, which dissolves in the slow-cooking process. I love this stuff! It arrived a day after I submitted an order, and stood up to being in the slow-cooker all day, as a vital ingredient in my beef/barley soup.

I have always loved barley as a child in soups and, shamefully, have to order it as you can't find this at your local supermarkets, unless it is a Whole Foods or MOMS. Now that I have a bunch, I gave a few to my mother and I have the rest. If I don't really feel like cooking, I always keep some in my fridge and perhaps do a quick stir fry of veggies and sometimes add meat. Love this product!!

Not sure if it’s where I shop (???) but found this here & I prefer it to the others I’ve gotten from a grocery store. (Smaller town means less options sometimes)

I have had trouble finding barley in the grocery store. Was glad to find this on Amazon, and it cooks up very well in my soup.
