Great reading and funny!
The characters are developing and changing and constantly getting into bigger and funnier messes! And who doesn't need a quirky murder with odd citizens in the mix!

Just Wonderful!
I read this book in one sitting. Awesome! You chuckle, outright laugh, find yourself saddened at times, and cheer for justice at the end!

So entertaining!
The Miss Fortune books never disappoint. I am so invested in all the characters, that’s what makes them fun to read, it’s like checking in on your best friends. I can definitely relate to Ida Belle and Gertie, and just love Fortune. This book continues to add depth to all the characters, along with lots of laughs! Thanks Jana for another gray read!

Fun in the Louisiana Sun
Welcome back to Sinful, my favourite cozy mystery setting that I’d never want to visit! Seriously, as hilarious as things get in Sinful, I have no desire to meet the gators and giant mosquitos of the bayou, nor do I want to spend time with any of the zany villagers. However, I do enjoy reading about all their antics. The mystery this time around is who killed Molly, a larger than life caterer. I think this was one of the better mysteries in the series recently. I loved it. There are two main possible culprits and more than one possible murder. The cases and clues overlap and take us round and round in a most enjoyable way. I enjoyed meeting the suspects and some of the interviewees along the way. Each character adds more information to the case and leaves the reader guessing true motives and opportunities. The big reveal is parts hilarious, sad and intriguing- a perfect mix.In terms of characters, I once again rolled my eyes at the pages and pages of Fortune trying to rationalise her hard-headed ways as just being independent. Gotta bold-facedly lie to her boyfriend and make his job / life difficult? It’s okay because her curiosity and her need for justice outweigh his need to get the job done properly. The attitude gets more overdone and repetitive with each new instalment. However, there are little areas of growth that make up for it.Perhaps my favourite of all the scenes was towards the end where Ida Belle and Walter’s wedding happens. I loved the fact that despite everything, Ida Belle is a classy lady who knows just how to push her best friend’s buttons yet retain her infamous Southern dignity.“You were six years old,” Gertie said. “And pulling a gun on your mother over an Easter dress is the reason the South gets a bad name.”“The reason?” I asked.“Well, one of them,” Gertie said. “It’s still the best place in the world but I will admit to a few quirks.”As much as parts of this series frustrate me at times, I can’t deny I do enjoy the world created and I love reading some of the wickedly funny dialogues. Where else can you find a semi-tame alligator and a cross-dressing-peeping-tom neighbour in the same story?! Oh, and did I forget to mention the Catholic-Mafia parrot? You have to read it to get it!

Gators and Garters
An excellent book. I laughed at so many parts that the 3 ladies came up with. Fortune and Molly are two smart ladies. Sad in many ways of the cruelty of Johnny and Molly’s father. The story left you with a good feeling that Molly was alive. Very enjoyable story.

A hilarious romp in Sinful Louisiana.
When I think Jana Deleon is about to put out a book, I check her face book page everyday, I check her web-site and I hound my Amazon web page looking for any reference to her new book.I really love the Miss Fortune series, and this book really had a lot of twists and turns, and those very hilarious moments when I am laughing out loud at Swamp Team 3's antics. Nobody can write those laughing hysterical moments like this Author. Each book is different, and this one introduced a new and truly interesting character. I hope we hear more from Molly in future books.I also liked that the Heberts showed up in the book, even for the short time we had them. I have been waiting for Ally to meet Manny in a future book. He needs someone who is more low key than Fortune, and Ally needs someone who is adventurous and walks a little on the wild side. I have always thought that there might be a little something there. But, that's just me.

Important to read the Miss Fortune series in order. The strong quirky characters are richly developed as the subsequent books move forward

Can't recommend this series enough
I spent around 3 or 4 weeks reading the whole of the series. The way I describe it to friends is a cross between the Golden iris and the Equalizer!!!It's so funny, lol and rotfl doesn't really do it justice.Either way, I've recommended this series to several friends.
