Jeep 4x4 Performance Handbook, 3rd Edition (Motorbooks Workshop)

Well written and organized with a ton of great information for Jeep owners looking to. tweak their vehicles. I learned a great deal, and it will serve as an upgrade bible.

I became disinterested in Jeeps when the YJ was introduced in 1987. After 26 years I am ready to build my CJ6, and this book gave me information I hadn't thought to consider. Coupled with the last 26 years of different engine, transmission, transfer case and axle options from newer Jeep vehicles, I have more options to build than before. Definitely worth the price and the 5 star rating.

Must have book for any Jeep owner looking to do some modifications, which is most of us… lol. Bottom line, own a Jeep? Doing mods? Buy this book!!!

Well and entertainingly written by knowledgeable authors but extremely dated. More or less stops at 2007 despite saying it was updated in 2021. If you know Jeeps you know the JK underwent major changes after 2007 and again in 2012 and then a complete model change to the JL in 2018. If you're new to learning the basics about how your Jeep actually works along with some offroading tips, and are looking for plain English explanations of things like gearing and drive trains, then it's worth the money. Personally I was looking more for a manual like Moses Ludel's also dated Jeep Owners Bible. It's not that at all.

So much information, very good book if you have a Jeep you want to build

Goes over. Basics all the way up to more advanced recovery and overall mechanics! Good to have on hand as it’s always a good idea to never stop learning.

Leider fehlen die europäischen Ausführungen vom Wrangler, d.h. von den JK- als auch JL-Modellen fehlen die Dieselvarianten. Schade.
