🎤 Elevate your sound game — transform, connect, and create like a pro!
The Audix T50K is a professional inline impedance matching transformer that converts low-impedance microphone signals (100-600Ω) to high-impedance instrument signals (10k-50kΩ). Built with gold-plated conductors and a durable 7mm rubber jacket, it enables direct connection of vocal or instrument mics to guitar amps or pedals without added noise or distortion. Ideal for musicians and producers seeking to expand their sonic possibilities with vintage or modern gear, the T50K delivers reliable, clean signal transformation in a compact, rugged design.

Perfect, works just right
High Quality and Perfect Transformer - I use it for amplified harmonica work.

This helps out so much with recording pedal effects on my vocals in real time.
I have two of these already, and wouldn't mind having even more. Why? I can run my microphones through several effects. I use a delay and a condenser pedal through my vocals and can dial in a crisper vocal that isn't lost in the mix. And it helps achieve the rockabilly and early country western, sort of 'bandit' style of vocals with the analog delay. I even mix my acoustic resonator guitar with an instrument microphone into the condenser and delay pedals. because a resonator pickup is a bit too deep in the pockets for me at the time. This takes care of it, in my perspective, and could add effects to your acoustic instrument set up if you feel like being creative enough. I like the idea of putting this through multiple microphones of a single vocal recording, also, so you can perhaps record a track running a delay effect, and have a condensed and crisp track recorded in real time, so you can hear it the way you intend, over adding the effects in the aftermix. Singing with the delay makes a big difference to my music style. I haven't tried other brands of this kind of cable product. It was the first one I went for based on reviews and price and, to me, does exactly what it needs to. Sometimes the cable hangs downward and I noticed, on the Behringer pedals that don't always "lock in" (these are the lowest priced pedals out there as far as I know) so sometimes it just happens that the Audix cable slips out. Shouldn't be an issue with other pedals that 'snap in', and also the Audix cable hangs from its insert. In the long run I am unsure if the cable being suspended will be bad for the wiring, and I try to lay it fledge as much as possible onto a surface so it isnt always just hanging vertical. This cant be avoided all the time, though. But I havent noticed any audio loss or signal impedance. This helps out so much with recording pedal effects on my vocals in real time. The price isn't bad at all. I am using GLS ES-57 Mics and a Shure SM-58 mic for all this and it's working and sounding great.

Finally, a physical design that makes sense.
Who wants a long thin audio transformer sticking out of their floor pedal or amplifier where it can easily be broken off? This design solves that problem. Honestly, I don't understand why they all aren't designed this way. I highly recommend this transformer.

Works as expected. Feels very high-quality. Three gigs down and no complaints. Definitely more confident in this piece than alternatives without the pigtail which alleviates stress on my effects pedal.

Works great for harmonica using Shure 57 mike to Fender Super Champ
I have just received this item and tested it for only an hour or so. I like it very much. I will use it to play harmonica with a modified Shure 57 mike going into a Fender Super Champ X2 amplifier. Up till now I have used a Whirlwind Little Imp transformer. This works fine, but adds about two inches to the plug at the input socket, so it is frequently bumped by someone trying to walk past the amp. Eventually, the center pole of Little Imp loosened, wobbles, and occasionally breaks contact. Plus, I am concerned about having the amp input itself damaged. To prevent this issue, I wanted an XLR to 1/4 " transformer that would not stick out so far from the amp input. Why do you need a transformer to use a mike on a guitar type amp? Because the mike is a low impedance device and the amp is a high impedance device. You cannot simply use a cable with an XLR connector on one end and 1/4" guitar type plug on the other. You must match the impedance. Hence, the need for the transformer. The short cable on the Audix does not seem to pick up any noise, allows a closer profile when used with the amp, fits perfectly and sounds great. It was just what I needed and I hope to use it a long time.

failed after a few months. i spoke to audix and they wanted me to ship it back to them at my expense to determine if they would fix or replace. I chose not to spend any more money on it and bought the shure.

Not a cheap matching transformer.
This is a high-quality low to high impedance matching transformer: gold plated connectors, thick rubber coated cable, and heavy duty strain relief; in a pig-tailed package. XLR-female on low z end rated 600 Ohms +/- 15% @ 1Khz 1V 166 Ohms +/- 10% DC Resistance. 1/4" TS (mono) phone on high z end rated 50,000 Ohms +/- 15% @ 1Khz 1V 2,250 Ohms +/- 10% DC Resistance. Frequency response is rated 20 - 20,000 Hz +/- 3dB. Total overall length is about 13 inches. When used with a discount 50ft mic cable, a cheap dynamic microphone, and plugged into an average guitar amp; no hum, buzzing, or frying noise was heard. Great product. Keep one in your gig bag.

Great Impedance Matching Transformer
This thing is the bees knees. I use it to run my trumpet through a bunch of pedals and it does what it says it does. No hum or buzz, just clean signal. I just realized I use an audix mic through it too (D4), but it works with anything dynamic. Having the short cable length in between the two ends definitely saves my 1/4" jacks from the constant weight of the barrel units. This one is worth the extra bucks.

If you play a harmonica and use a fire ball you will probably be very happy with its performance. But when you plug the T50k in and play through a valve amp for example a bluews junior as I do, it quite simply transformers the sound to a difference level. Well worth having this in your bag.
