Fiebing's Black Suede Dye (4 oz) was purchased during august of 2023 for the price of $9.98 plus tax. the product is now available for the price of $9.89 plus tax (December 16, 2024). The shoes upon which the dye was used were new. However, the coloring seemed to be a bit faded...not as saturated as I would have liked them to be. Although I have never gone through the process of dyeing shoes previously, I really wanted to enjoy these shoes...so I took a chance after watching a few YOUTUBE videos. The process of using the Fiebing's Dye was as straight forward as one would hope, and expect. The only suggestion is to be prepared before beginning as to avoid making a mess of the application, or accidental spillage. The most important aspect of obtaining the best results is to follow the instructions. After having done just that, the results were superlative. The color saturation that I desired was immediatrely appparent upon completion. The most important thing about the process is to make sure you have a suitable suede brush in order to release the nap of the suede after the dye had completely dried. If, for some reason, the saturation of color is not to one's satisfaction, it wouldn't be outside the realm of suggestions to apply another coat of dye. I'm thoroughly satisfied with the results of using this product. Howver, I can only attest to the results of having used the Black dye. I have no idea if similar results would be obtained with the different color dyes that are being offered by Fiebing's. Nonetheless, Fiebing's has an excellent reputation of offering quality products. It would be worth the effort to take a chance on the spectrum of colors offered.

Good product but I’d recommend it in a spray bottle

I’m honestly blown away by this product. I had a pair of boots I’d owned for years but barely wore because the color just never felt right—even though they were insanely comfortable. I wasn’t ready to toss them, so when I stumbled on this dye by accident, I figured I had nothing to lose. I’m so glad I tried it. The color transformed beautifully into a rich, dark brown, and the whole process was unbelievably easy. I finished the entire pair in under 15 minutes. No streaks, no weird odors, no hassle—just a clean, even finish that made my old boots look brand new. If you’ve got suede pieces you love but want to change the color, this dye is a game-changer. I’d recommend it in a heartbeat.

this stain is a beautiful color it seems to work well and have good coverage but it is extremely difficult to strain a large expanse of suede evenly. I think the information about the product sort of underestimates that difficulty, so be prepared for a blotchy look (which could work depending on what you're going for). I think with some brushing and re-touching and that kind of thing it could even up, but I actually gave up on my project because it was so blotchy and it was hard to get the area under seams. if you were prepared and you had a bunch of different brushes and applicators you'd be better off than I was. just be ready for the fact that it's not super easy to make it look good. even though the color is really rich & attractive.

Easy to use! I got bored of an old pair of booties because the color was just a bit too pale for me and I was looking for a darker brown, which was more on trend. Rather than buying a new pair of booties, I decided to try this suede dye. The applicator is like a big cotton ball on a stick but works really well to change the color, except where the suede meets the sole of the shoe. A finer make up brush or something would’ve probably worked better. All in all I’m very satisfied with the color and the fact that I don’t have to buy a new pair of shoes.

Was hoping for a more subtle or muted brown and not a reddish tint as some had noted. But I'm satisfied overall as I am getting used to the "medium brown."

Works Wonderful! This is one coat! Dried fast and looks great! Hubby used on my UGG boots. I hadn’t worn them in a while because I wanted them blacker, now they will be worn often! What an awesome product!

OMG. . .loved loved loved this fantastic product !!! I own quite a few real and faux suede shoes/boots and have in the past used the Renew coloured spray to help my boots look new & clean. It hasnt always done the job well so now that I've found your product, Im so happy to know that I can easily order other colours for my other boots & shoes! It was easy to use and the colour came out magnificently ! Thanks for the quick delivery too !

Easy to apply with the included dauber. Restores color beautifully without cracking or peeling. Highly recommend for suede shoes and accessories.

Its good but it depends on the type of suede. I tried on one shoes was nice and perfectly black, but on other more luxurious shoes it turned dark blue than black. It will also change the texture of the leather so the suede wont stay as soft as it was. I would recommend it only for normal shoes but not expensive shoes
