Good noodles and good value
Konjac noodles are now one of my store cupboard staples and are pefect for using in stir fries. These Emma Basic noodles are now my 'go to' brand. If you're expecting them to be exactly like ordinary noodles, you won't like them ... their texture is quite different, but they're great for bulking out stir fries without adding calories and are a huge help if you're calorie counting. Yes, when you first open them they smell a bit funky, but a good thorough rinse removes most of that smell and cooking removes the rest ... and they don't taste the way they smell, In fact, they don't have any real taste of their own at all, which means they can be added to prety much anything savoury.Given how much you CAN pay for konjac noodles, these are a really good buy and come in single-serving packs, which is very handy. Recommended.

Good Noodles
I regularly purchase these shirataki noodles because they are hands down, the best ones I’ve tried. One thing I love about them is that they are thinner than some other types, which I personally prefer as they feel lighter and closer to traditional noodles. When you first open the pack, there’s a strong fishy smell, which is completely normal for shirataki noodles. This comes from the natural konjac root they are made from and the liquid they are packed in. A quick rinse completely eliminates the smell, leaving you with a neutral, flavourless base to absorb the sauces or seasonings you add.The price is reasonable for a 12 pack, it an excellent value for anyone who eats these regularly. They are very filling and a great addition to my weight loss routine. They’re low-calorie, guilt-free, and keep me satisfied annd help with avoiding unnecessary snacking.I highly recommend these for anyone looking for a healthier, low-calorie noodle alternative.

Decent noodle alternative
Pros:- Good portion in each pack- Easy to prepare, just rinse and then boil or microwave- Great for dieters wanting to make a meal more filling without adding extra carbsCons:- No flavor by themselves so make sure to season the dish well. Do not expect the taste to be like pasta.- Don't smell amazing by themselves, but you can just rinse them and cook and then they are all good- A bag can be damaged during transit sometimes, once the box arrives with a wet patch where one of the backs had been pierced, so could be packaged better by the distributor.Overall, I always come back to buying these and they last a while. Cheaper than the supermarket alternatives which are hard to find anyway.

Better than a well-known UK brand!
I bought these as I need a very low carb diet and can no longer eat rice or traditional noodles. I was introduced to konjac noodles via a well-known brand that is readily available in UK supermarkets, and was delighted to be able to continue eating curries, Thai, and Chinese foods along with the family by substituting the konjac noodles for me, whilst they ate the normal rice/noodles with their portions.Trouble was that the noodles, despite rinsing thoroughly, retained their "fishy" smell to a certain extent, the sauces were not picked up enough to get good flavour in every mouthful, plus the packet contained a lot so I either had a meal noodle-heavy or had to throw a chunk of them away (the rest of the family didn't like them at all, but didn't need to eat them either) which was such a waste.I tried these Emma Basic noodles as a replacement, partly because they are packed as a smaller portion, and partly because they offered better value.I am so pleased that I did! These noodles are far less "fishy" than my previous brand, and it washes off and any remaining flavour (if any) is unnoticeable when they are eaten with either curry or Chinese style stir-fry which is what I eat them with. These are much thinner, Japanese-style, noodles, and so they mix well with the sauce and absorb its flavour to give a far better eating experience. I now enjoy eating these meals far more as the noodles actually add to the eating experience and I no longer feel as if I'm just eating something barely palatable just to fill my tummy! The portion size is perfect! Plenty for somebody with a good appetite, yet not so much that eating them feels more like punishment, or having to throw part of the bag away. From now on, my low-carb noodle loyalty is absolutely with this brand! The only way they could be improved, for me, is to produce a rice-shaped version, but unless or until they do, it'll be Emma Basic Shirataki Konjac Noodles with my curries every time! I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!Edit:Just bought two more lots of these so you can tell I really like them.Reading through other reviews, I can confirm that these need rinsing thoroughly before using, and also confirm that I don't get any tummy problems from eating them (7 packets eaten to date!), and hadn't heard of any such problems until I read some of these reviews. I still think they're great for those who have to eat a very low-carb diet.

Will buy more.
Very good noodles for healthy meals and calorie control. Good sized packs. I use them in soups. Has the same feel as bean thread (glass) noodles. Will definitely be buying more.

Bags leaked
Taste and look was everything that I expected, however, I've noticed today that some of the bags have split somewhere and leaked into the container that I keep these packets in. Called Amazon for a refund, which they have provided.

The best konjac noodles
I've been buying a different brand for the last few years, but they were out of stock so I bought these instead. They are so much better. I really like the fine texture. They're lovely in store fries. Yes, they stink when you open the packer. Don't stick your nose I. Just give them a rinse and put them straight in with your chosen sauce. You won't be able to taste the fishiness.

Great experience from order to delivery. Highly recommended!
How to enjoy Emma Basic Shirataki Noodles: Rinse and drain the noodles well before cooking with your dish. Ideal in stews, hotpots or stir fries. If using as spaghetti or noodle alternative, boil for 1 minute and serve with your favourite sauce or broth.
