It taste pasty. Not much of a flavor. It doesn't mix well. You can not mix it with just a spoon in a cup. You need a mixer, and add something for flavor, like a protein drink.

Is this the same thing as dextrose?

CJ, no it's not. Dextrose is a sugar made by the body. When supplementing dextrose you want to it after intense long cardio, or during a long cardio session, biking hiking running ect. Carbo gain is 100% maltodextrine, a complex carbo hydrate! This is what your body will burn and use first during any sort of workout!
