Do you have a fave X company..say cleaning line- that you just TRUST?
Most of us have a favorite brand. Maybe it's Clorox, Lysol, NOW, Dawn (thinking of brands that have been around a while.) Brands that you trust give you products that work. That do what they say they will? I'm not talking about "green" or "natural" just a brand you feel comfortable buying bc maybe your mother bought it or you've just been buying it for years & know their service & products are reliable. That is Sky Organics. Are they USDA certified? No. Most of their products are in fact not. But they say that up front. Their website is fantastic, their Amazon descriptions never leave you going "wait...huh?..what am I getting...what size...how much?" Their Pinterest is AMAZING you totally need to go follow them. I DO NOT have anything to do with the company. My name is on Amazon and I follow them. You can see I am a real person. I'm not a blogger, I don't get paid or free stuff for saying anything. I just recently started trying to "clean" up my life so to speak and live healthier since I have many chronic illnesses & many very rare genetic conditions. I started by finding ways to make my own cleaning supplies naturally bc I was on the other side of that before & a bit too "bleach happy" lol. "Kill the germs kill them all!" Anyway after reading many blogs all these natural products oddly coincided with products you can eat for your health. Crazy huh a registered pesticide you can and SHOULD eat! Never thought I'd hear that one. (Diatamaceous Earth btw.) Anyway eventually it led me into soap & lotion making. So I was looking at items to do just that & came acfods Sky Organics... I forget how now... probably Amazon. After checking out their site & then their Pinterest (just "Sky Organics" btw) & spending a bunch of time reading (bc I'm one of those people who likes to learn a LOT before I dive in) I was really pleased how far a company goes to educate people for free. I didn't have to buy anything or sign my life away- it was all right there. I hate those sights that show you parts and then flash "sign up for my exclusive ebook ONLY for subscribers to my weekly newsletter that sign up NOWWW!" I'm like woah calm down & no. Anyway after getting my first product, for a newbie I was impressed by the quality (I was a professional makeup artist for years and know a bit about skincare & ingredients but just not much about REAL skincare, only the chemical filled stuff lol) & for the great price I was impressed. But then for then to email me immediately & check in to see if I recieved it & everything was ok, if not how they could fix it & to give me a free ebook on my specific product I was WAY impressed. I buy a lot on Amazon & in the past few years they are maybe the 2nd or 3rd seller to do that which is sad bc that's just good customer service! Anyway to some it up after getting my 3rd product this week I feel very comfortable saying that Sky Organics is going to be just one of those brands...the one I feel comfortable buying from & trust them to deliver quality & for their products to do what they say & if not- I know they will make it right. So far I LOVE this grapeseed oil! It's crazy amazing! I put it on & didn't rub it in much & my hands looked like I used high quality lotion every day of my life, but I never do bc I hate lotion, the texture drives me nuts, my hands just sucked this stutt right in & left my skin with this luminous, J lo sheen, just super moisturized! I can't even tell you. If you haven't tried this carrier oil... it is a MUST in anyone's "kit." BTW I would get so confused on the oil "Body Butters" "Carrier oils" etc etc but they break it down really well they have their "Carrier Oils line" etc so you know what it is & it says it on the bottle & ways to use it. Plus their Pinterest has recipes for it too. MERRY CHRISTMAS Y'ALL!

The Many Benefits of Apricot Kernel Oil ♡
I often have to spend hours looking through products, comparing prices, amounts, quality, reputation, reviews, etc. etc. I try to make smart buys. But with Sky Organics, I've been a fooled twice now. This Apricot Kernel Oil is only 8 oz. at over $10. I thought it was a 16 oz. bottle like many of the other bottles by Sky Organics that are pictured in exactly the same way as the smaller sizes. I chose this bottle believing it was a full sized bottle, over 2 other well-rated Apricot Kernel Oils from reputable companies, at under $10 for 16 oz.Regardless, like I said, I do like this company a lot from past experience. But the same exact thing happened before with the Avocado Oil. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love that oil. It's my favorite, right up there with Beauty Aura's Sunflower Oil. But again, I was totally surprised to see that the bottle was half the size I was expecting. This surprises ME, since I'm usually pretty careful about what I buy.I know I should look more carefully. But also, there's a very good reason companies like these don't have neon signs pointing to the exact amount. When their other identical looking bottles are in fact twice the size, most people will automatically assume that all the bottles are the same size. Especially if you're scrolling through, glancing at one bottle after another.Sky Organics has the best waterproof labels on their bottles. They can get scratched because of the soft slick surface, that is sort of wax paper-like, but water and oil never penetrate the label or compromise its form whatsoever. That's a big plus. It has a special thicker coating on it as opposed to regular plastic that simply feels like the outside of a plastic bag. This dark plastic bottle has a flip-top screw-on cap. But it also has a nice pump that screws in as well. This makes it more versatile for however you choose to use the oil, or for travelling. This 8 oz. size is not overly large for a week-long trip, or an easy weekend getaway. Also, because the bottles are fairly sturdy, they can be reused again for whatever you wish to put inside. Then you have the choice of using the pump or the flip-top.I personally prefer the ease of the pump at home, but I wonder if the fact that it's always open compromises the length of time that the oil will stay fresh. However, it's only open to the one section that fits into the straw part, between the oil and the actual pump, so I'm not sure that it actually makes much difference at all. When you unscrew the cap for the first time, there is a red plastic stopper that blocks the oil from leaking out. This is the first time I've seen this on one of their oils, or on any bottle of oil so far. It's easy to push the rim up with your fingernail (I've got nuthin' at my fingertips so you should probably be ok) and easily remove it. This is an efficient safety precaution and I'm betting that some customers have received leaking products in the past to encoyrage this change. It happens, because the tops can shake around and get loosened during the whole stocking, shipping and handling process. This oil doesn't really smell like anything, and I think I love that. Perhaps it smells veeeerry faintly nutty, but I like that it's so mild. It feels great on my skin; it's not overly heavy, sticky, or watery, and it moisturizes very well.Apricot kernel oil can be used for a variety of personal uses, DIY skincare & beauty products and many home remedies. It's also used in alternative medicine for treatment of cancer, although it hasn't been proved all-around.Here are some benefits in detail:1. For SkinApricot kernel oil is good for people with sensitive skin. It's non-irritant, gentle and soothing for the skin. It's light, very similar to Almond Oil, and it quickly makes the skin soft and smooth. It's easy to apply because it spreads quickly and penetrates deep into the skin. It soothes irritated and inflamed skin.A massage with apricot kernel oil is good for dry, parched skin. You can use it after a shower to seal the moisture into the skin. Since it's light, it doesn't feel too oily. Once it's absorbed into the skin, it provides moisturization for a long time. Sounds ideal for lip balm!Apricot kernel oil is one of the best carrier oils for massage. It penetrates nicely into the skin and also improves the delivery of essential oils and other herbal agents. This oil is also good for infusing with herbs and absorbing their essence. It can be utilized for various kinds of massage that require an oil.2. For HairApricot oil is loved by many people around the world for their hair care. When applied to the hair shafts, it helps to detangle hair because of its conditioning properties. These are the health benefits that apricot oil provides to hair:It promotes hair growth because of the nutrients in it, especially Vitamin E. Apricot Oil is very rich in it, which gives ot even more effective healing properties.Apricot oil reduces dry scalp problems like dandruff and eczema. You can massage it into your scalp and let it absorb before rinsing it out.It helps to achieve gorgeous shiny hair without any greasiness. When used as a hot oil treatment, it conditions the hair and provides it with nutrition. It softens the hair, so that it's shinier, less frizzy, more manageable and easy to comb through without tangles.3. As an Under Eye CreamApricot oil can be applied for healing delicate under eye skin. It aids in reducing dark circles, puffiness and helps to strengthen the skin around this area. With regular application of the oil, you can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes.4. Face OilApricot kernel oil is a nice face oil, especially when compared to other heavier oils. It helps to improve skin tone, nourish the skin and lower the appearance of aging signs, like wrinkles, discoloration, lines, scars and blemishes. However, this oil should be avoided by people who are suffering from chronic acne or are prone to acne. That's because it has a comedogenicity of 2. This means that the oil is very mildly comedogenic and it can clog skin pores. This may result in acne breakouts and blackheads, but I wonder if it depends on various factors. It's hard to imagine an oil like this making someone's face go all blotchy or break out. I think it'd worth trying out, especially since the oil can be used for so many applications outside of the face.5. Heart HealthFirst of all, take heed; there are some possible risks here... Consumption of apricot kernel oil can be healthier for the heart and the cardiovascular system. This oil has demonstrated ability to lower the risk of myocardial infarction (heart attack) in rats and can possibly perform the same function in humans. You can take apricot oil in food as a salad dressing and by using it for cooking certain recipes that go well with the flavor of this oil.BUT be careful...Side Effects, Safety and Toxicity Issues:Apricot kernel oil is generally safe to use topically. However, when used internally, there is one thing to note. Apricot kernels contain a substance called amygdalin. This is converted by the body into cyanide, which is poisonous. This can lead to respiratory failure and may even be fatal.Amygdalin is usually removed from oil products. This is done to ensure that the oil product contains much less amygdalin than the safety limit. This is the case with almond oil, apricot oil and peach oil. However, please be absolutely sure that the oil has been processed to remove this poisonous substance.Apricot oil is great for use in home made skin care products like facial toners, scrubs, dry and wet shampoo and exfoliants. The oil is used as an ingredient in soaps. You can use it in homemade soap recipes to have a less oily and slippery oil. It makes a nice base oil for the soap, in combination with coconut oil and palm oil, which are very common in soap making.Apricot oil is a good carrier for essential oils which are used in soap-making like lemon, lavender and Jasmine essential oils.Apricot Kernel Oil possesses many therapeutic properties which make it an excellent oil for various uses. Here are some of the oil's properties (I apologize for some of the repitition. I typed in this part before deciding to put in the other parts):♡Emollient – It has regenerating properties that help treat sun damaged skin and hair. It's a very healing and hydrating moisturizer. It's great to just apply it directly onto your thirsty skin or scalp and let it absorb. Try adding some of this oil to your natural shampoo and conditioner. It makes a great conditioner that keeps your hair naturally healthy and shiny.Apricot oil makes an effective massage oil as well, if you rub the oil first between your hands to warm it up. Then make sure to marry a massage therapist who consistently claims that you're his/her favorite client. Carpe Diem!♡Anti-Inflammatory – Apricot Kernel Oil reduces inflammation when applied topically or when ingested (Just don't be caught paper bagging the bottle, ok? It's not gonna be THAT good). This makes it even better as a massage oil, and it's beneficial for people suffering from injuries, bruises, chronic pain/illness & ailments in the joints and muscles.Arnica Montana is a great natural flower ingredient used in homeopathic pain relief salves, oils and creams, because it naturally helps address inflammation, pain, swelling, bruising, cramps, etc. I take Arnica tablets for my chronic pain, from Boiron & Genexa, both excellent homeopathic companies.♡Anti-Aging – Apricot oil is rich in Vitamins A, E, B and D, amino acids AND essential fatty acids that provide much-needed nutrition to your skin, to slow down aging and to help prevent further damage.♡Antibacterial – The oil can be used to treat skin, clothes and other products to keep viruses, dirt, gunk and bacteria away.If you're looking for a great antifungal oil for something like toe fungus and Athlete's Foot, Sky Organics has a good Castor Oil that magically makes eyebrow hairs grow in where they haven't in years. Seriously, it's crazy. Try some on your lashes also at bedtime! It's a bit heavy and sticky, but boy does it work.Try going more natural with your beauty routine and you won't regret the decision in the future. Use plant based oils and ingredients on your skin and hair and take natural healtj supplements like Turmeric, Beet Root, Hyaluronic Acid, MSM, Vitamin C, etc. You can easilt make facial serums using Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C and MSM powders as well.By the way, my favorite health supplement is L-Theanine, the cool as a cucumber amino acid found in green tea, mostly in Matcha, the tea of the gods. Matcha has incredible benefits (boosts metabolism, weight loss, immune function, heart function, fiber, digestion, energy, relaxation, mental clarity, creativity, motivation+) and antioxidants in it.So the L-theanine and about 1/3 caffeine (of coffee) work synergistically to create the perfect balance of gung-ho hours-long energy, focus, calmness, concentration, and a sense of wellbeing. It creates sustained energy over a period of hours, unlike coffee, which gives you jitters and a crash and isn't 1/50th as good for you as matcha. Try!♡Antiseptic – Apricot Oil reduces the risk of infection in open wounds, scrapes and cuts.♡Antioxidant – The oil prevents the skin from being damaged by free radicals.Apricot kernel oil is quite nutritious and it borrows its nutritional value from apricot kernels. Apricot oil is great for heart health as it contains mostly unsaturated fats. If taken in small amounts, one can expect to have cardiovascular health benefits and it may also help in lowering blood cholesterol levels, like other oils that are rich in unsaturated fats. Before buying apricot kernel oil, one should make sure that the oil conforms to the safety standards regarding amygdalin and other such compounds. The healthiest variety of oil is the cold pressed, organic oil. This oil is quite sensitive to light and heat and can get rancid quickly. Such a change is usually easily noticed in the taste of the oil. However, you should always keep this oil in a cool environment, away from light. The shelf life of this oil varies from 6 months to a year, which is low. If it is kept refrigerated, the shelf life increases. This oil tends to be costlier than many other carrier oils. The organic, edible oil is even costlier.I look forward to using up this gigantic humongous dinosauric bottle of oil and encourage you to do the same.I share info, tips and my natural products on my FB site, Emi K. Wellness. It's all meant for you, for the greater good, for the health, wellness and wellbeing of the community.Going through chronic illness, pain and fatigue makes health an absolute priority. It's funny. Health should ALWAYS be our number one priority. We cannot function without it, and I've been there. Problem is, our country has never been particularly good at prevention. Money usually goes towards the more tangible, visible, current problems, and catastrophes and illnesses are often avoided until it's too late. It's a mindset that we must get out of. We have to start emphasizing the utter importance of being prepared, and maintaining good overall health and wellbeing, in order to prevent the worst from going down. Thanks for reading, guys. Til next time! ♡

An Excellent Oil That Won't Stain Your Pillow Case
I've used Grape Seed Oil in my massage practice for decades and this one is a decent quality and a good price. I like it because it's a good oil to use for facial massage with red or blue light. It's also moisturizing for the for the whole body but especially good for the eye area and for say two fingers below your collarbones and up. It won't oil stain your linens and most people won't notice any smell. I do and it's a light, clean smell, without detecting a chemical or fragrance. This is a good amount for my personal use because it'll take me about three months to use it. I can also use it as a carrier oil for massage oils (if I want to add anything) so it's versatile. It arrived in a small box with packing pillows and the bottle was shrink-wrapped. There was no leakage and there was a safety seal. I will repurchase.
